The strong republican heir apparent never materialized.
The former mayor of Jax had a shot but he got embroiled in a controversy.
It’s a good question for sure. I can’t think of anyone off the top of my head that stands out.
He kind of led on his own and that could be seen as a mistake for the future. But not all of that is on him of course. The Florida Republican Party hasn’t exactly helped elevate the next star.
That leads to more questions. Is there one currently? If there is, why haven’t they hyped him or her.
The Lt gov position is so back of the room that most people never know who they are. That’s also a mistake in my opinion.

The nasty occupy democrats are squawking about another scandal of alleged donations for a 9 million dollar Hurricane relief fund having money missing.

State republican party apparatuses, especially throughout the south, are really all quite awful. They all seem to be stuck in a time warp of like 1995.

I knew one of the top guys. He was also a very rich guy. Guess how he got rich.
