I don't know if she is considered dumb but she I do know her views on most legal matters surrounding abortion or incorrect and not in line with the law as it was written by the founding fathers, logic and science.

No one thinks she is dumb...just that she ignores the law in favor of her own personal politics

Satan comes as an angel of light. Ruth comes as a beacon of intellect, but she's really just an evil demon.

Nobody can make a constitutional argument for it. They didn't really try.

RvW was a decision pre-decided and they created an "umbra from the penumbra" validation based on 'right to privacy,' another presumed "right."

This cried out for a legislative solution where the political aspects could be sorted out and compromises defined and limitations imposed, rather than a judicial fiat which anyone with a brain can question. If an amendment is required then that is the MOST declarative statement you can make to ensure future compliance.

Leftists don't even try the right way to do anything - they want to claim ad hoc victories and expand on them, supported by mob rule.

I think it was Scalia that said the opiniion was formed from the constitutional ether.

There's a difference between stupidity and bias. There are a lot of brilliant people who are blinded to the truth based on their own biases and worldviews that dictate how they interpret information.

Europe is pro choice. None of it came from convoluted decisions by judges. The decisions came from legislative debate followed by a vote. That's the way to do it.

It's not a public vote. It's a legislative vote. If you're confused just Google a video 'schoolhouse rock + I'm just a bill.'

Because a liberal like Bader wants R v W overturned?

That makes sense

How did you come to arrive at such a definitive conclusion?

So your reading of that article leads you to believe that Ginsburg thinks that Roe v Wade should be overturned?

What makes you think that?

Are they authoritarian when they mandate other care for babies and children?

Here, people just want to protect the unborn children. Is that really your idea of being authoritarian?

Why do you think it's a bad thing to stop the killing of unborn children?

Authoritarianism seeks to limit freedoms everywhere. We're just saying no one should be free to take the lives of the unborn. That's hardly the same as trying to remove free speech or religious expression or firearm ownership like the left wants.

This is something I've thought about a lot lately, as someone who is very pro-choice. How is abortion different from other elective medical procedures (setting aside the issue of ectopic pregnancies and other life-threatening conditions)?

Does a state have the power to ban liposuction? Breast enlargement? Let's go further. Gay conversion therapy? How about even further. Tattoo artistry? Piercings? Where is the line drawn about what should be a protected medical procedure and what isn't?

I'd love to see a Constitutional Amendment protecting the right of people to any elective medical or cosmetic procedure, including abortive services, so long as doctor and patient consent to it. Would stop the UK style "force a baby to die" horror stories that have happened lately, as well as codify the "right to try" experimental medicine and euthanasia.
