There was a liquor salesman from Bayonne New Jersey who was offered a tune up fight with Ali. He was known as the Bayonne Bleeder cause he was from Bayonne New Jersey, heck Sonny Liston cut him causing 72 stitches.
He lasted 15 rounds with Ali and got the snot beat out of him. Knocked Ali down once (he stepped on Ali's foot to do it). In the 15th round with 19 seconds left the fight was called.
Chuck Wepner was his name and he has sued Stallone to no avail, Stallone admitted years later the story was about Chuck. He could have written the book, he didnt, good for Sylvester and glad he is MAGA.
