So as a general stance do you avoid all medication derived and or tested with fetal cell lines?

It’s not just Catholics that are sensitive to this issue. But where the Catholic church is concerned, there is a pervasive (and growing) sense that a far too political and far too “un-Catholic” is running the church.

I might be showing my age, but I remember a time when it was the place of the Church to solve such matters and the place of the Catholic to fall in line. That's an entirely different debate though . The Church has grown way too soft as it is.

You’d have to be pretty old to be substantially older than me. That said, I’m the product of 12 years of catholic school and put my kids through the same. Outside of my work, most of my friends have done the same. I’m fairly well aware of what rank/file Catholics are thinking. At least in my neck of the woods.

I think like most institutions, the Church has lost enough credibility that it no longer gets ready/easy compliance from the “faithful.”

In truth I was responding to the bit about religious exemption. How can you claim a religious exemption when as a Catholic the Vatican recognizes no problem to be exempted from, as you quoted above?

Easy for me... I'm not Catholic.

Do this isn't do much about fetal lines and more about wanting to just not take ITM why don't talk man up and stop using things like cell lines as an excuse. Half our problems in this country are how loud conservatives talk and how little conviction they do it with.

Why does the Pope get the final say on what a religion is?

negative covid PCR test result twice weekly

Home test is <$30 for 2.

Easy to do and employers actually have rules they have to follow. If they require you to take one in person at a place, you can charge mileage to them.

CVS and Walgreens will do drive through tests at appointed times. No cost to the person getting the test. Results in about 24-48 hours.

The employer would have access to health claims, etc., and have a great more HIPAA responsibility.

I work for a large health insurer. We sell many self funded plans. Employers do NOT have access to claims of any kind. Insurers only provide data and amalgamated bills from those claims. If an insurer were to divulge an employee’s name in connection with a claim, the insurer could be sued for violating HIPAA. The employer could ask for that information all the live long day, but the insurer is legally bound to protect that information.

Dear Employee

Congratulations. You have been granted a vaccination exemption. As a condition of your continued employment you must wear a mask at all times and submit a negative covid PCR test result twice weekly from a testing facility of your choosing and expense. Failure to comply will result in immediate termination. Good luck

The Pope’s views are only representative of Christ (supposedly) only when he speaks with authority from “the chair”, and Protestants, like myself, don’t care what the Pope has to say in any context as we believe only Christ is the head of the Church.
