that's a conversation that needs to be had. the conversation though is the low end of he market of rentals. housing starts have been behind pace of buying since 2010. that's the biggest problem we face.

Hmm , you do know that illegals renting available space causes an impact on ownership regardless right ? And while you think that a illegal can’t purchase housing then you are severely mistaken as the laws you think apply doesn’t really effect them as I’ve seen it for 45 years

How about we remove the millions of people who are here illegally?
Then we will have a glut.
It's quite simple.

And how will it do this
Correct me if I'm wrong, but almost all of the regulations that slow up construction and drive up prices are at the state and local level.
How will it increase housing supply, going to force people into hard labor to build houses
Yes, can limit amount of properties a company can own, but I'd imagine that is the lesser of the 3 cures listed in the grand scheme of things.
We got rid of the bum that didn't do anything. This is what government does,....frick it up.

Someone here mentioned that this bill is kinda soft and that it'll be easy for corporations to navigate the rules.
That is probably done by design otherwise the lobby money ensure the bill failed.
