You might be thinking of the singer from the Cranberries.

Dolores was a great big bundle of mental health issues, but at her peak she was damn sexy. That Limerick accent ….

not anymore.

seriously, she has changed religion so many times that it is difficult to keep up. She was born and raised Catholic, but kept begging every pope to excommunicate her. Then she formed her own religion that was vaguely related to Catholicism. Last, she converted to Islam a few years ago.

She was the original victim of cancel culture for speaking out against rampant Catholic pedophilia.

Suspect it is suicide, like her son, proof will probably come out in due time. But this woman was a serious head case for many years. I have felt very sorry for many musicians/singers through the years, but just don't feel anything for this woman...doubt she would have cared for any of us either...

Ripping up a picture of John Paul II, on live TV, then converting to Islam, just might have Karma doing a little nipping at your heels.

sad note, not only is Sinead gone, so is Jan Hooks, who played her in that skit (and was much better looking, hair or no hair).

but somehow I had completely forgotten Sting as Billy Idol in that bit - he was brilliant
