Why do you trust them?

Let me get a bit personal. That’s a fair question. For me it isn’t blind trust in institutions - it’s what I’ve seen through people I respect. My attendings, the generation that trained me, had treated kids paralyzed from polio, or who lost hearing from measles, or who died from meningitis. They watched those diseases disappear in front of their eyes as vaccines rolled out. By the time I hit the wards, my peers and I never saw those cases. They were just gone in the US.

So when I weigh whether to trust the CDC, FDA, or major trials, I think about that lived reality: generations of doctors seeing the before-and-after. That doesn’t mean I think the system is perfect or beyond criticism (indeed part of the system is earnest and good faith criticism) but it does mean the overall track record of vaccines lines up with what those frontline physicians actually witnessed.

I’m confused…do you want access to research or not? Isn’t RFK saying “they tried to hide the research, it’s time to bring it to the public!”

If you believed that…then what’s your beef with pubmed?

Rand Paul just said on the All-in-Podcast that NIH got 1.2 trillion dollars for the COVID vaccine that Congress has no oversight of.

point it toward solutions that actually have a track record of making people healthier
This is humorous. People will go on and on about Americans being less healthy than the rest of the world who have less of everything but won't question why these things are happening to Americans specifically who have everything at their fingertips, including the best healthcare. Why is someone who smokes, works in a plant and eats shark fin soup more healthy than an American who has a small army of doctors and every medicine known to humanity?

RFK is taking a step back and asking if the medical community itself is possibly part of the problem. The answer is unequivocally yes. We know we've been lied to. We know the govt colluded with big pharma for the sake of money. O'Keefe exposed just a little of how Mission Impossible 2 is not just a fictional movie plot. We know the peer review process is corrupted. RFK is bringing more information and questions.

Some people are just blind and gullible.

TigerDics spent a decade on this exact site preaching Russiagate lies daily. How anyone would possibly consider him credible or without an agenda OR even respond to his stupidity is beyond me.

Some people are stupid some are just dumb. He is fricking retarded.

He deserves all the shame, embarrassment and ridicule one can take.

Thanks for confirming that vaccine DO NOT go through the SAME process as other types of drugs. I wonder why?

You don't even realize you're not answering the question that's being asked?

That the diseases were eradicated is not being debated by anyone that I am aware of.

generations of doctors seeing the before-and-after
Again, you are not referring to the people in question.

quote:

the overall track record of vaccines lines up with what those frontline physicians actually witnessed
And what of the mysterious rise of cancer, autism, etc? Someone needs to be asking these questions and thank goodness it's the person in charge of the medical community. He's bringing to light a new perspective, you know, science and all that.

Not questioning something is not only biased, scared and suspicious but it's decidedly UNSCIENTIFIC

Yet you are here belitting people who are trying to advance the scientific cause. I hope you're not a real physician

Is this the thread where we pretend like physicians haven’t killed literally millions of people by prescribing opioids, and then continue to double down on it?

And those opioids that were supposed to go through very rigorous testing were all greenlit by the FDA officials who were obviously on Big Pharma’s payroll.

Still going on to this day. Plus the exact same thing with SSRI’s. And the exact same thing with the Covid Vax.

It has been a steady erosion of trust because people are seeing clearly through all of the bullshite.

Do we even have to get into insurance premiums and what insurance actually covers?

It’s all bullshite.

Yes

Again, why do you trust anything from those sources?

Here's a question for you: What's more scientific?
1. Questioning even our long held assertions
2. "Trust me bro, reasons."

Why are you spending so much energy trying to explain medicine to people who don’t know what pubmed is, have never read an actual study from abstract to conclusion, and their only source of “scientific research” is Twitter? Just point and laugh at them like I do ?

While your at it, laugh at all those soccer players that are on film dropping dead during a match. Laugh at all thise young people with myocarditis. Then you and your associates can have a gut busting laugh at the country club over vaccinating young people and children when there is almost no risk of death in thise ages from something like covid. To the general public it's not funny at all. We don't respect you any more.

Seems like the types questions doctors should have been asking and demanding answers to.

One last thing before I go enjoy my Saturday…

Back when I was helping sue the frick out of Merck for their killer drug vioxx (admittedly I was just a student working in basically a litigation factory), I wanted to go after the doctors too, not just the drug maker. Especially the doctors that took gifts, vacations, hotels, trips, sporting tickets, etc to help push this killer drug to people. And the firms actually did sue a lot of them.

You know what the doctors’ defense was? Every time?

“We didn’t know anything about this drug or what it might do. We rely on the pharmaceutical company and the government to ensure these drugs are safe. We can’t know this drug, it’s impossible to expect us to.”

Beware of the doctor that doesn’t question the pharmaceutical industry or the government.

Because he could kill you.

Because he’s arrogant and ignorant.

And that’s a lethal thing for a doctor to be.

We’ve all seen the consequences.

Have a great day.

I tend to side with RFK bc he had the good life everything to lose and really nothing to gain and chose to go against the establishment knowing good and well he would be vilified for doing it.

I don’t argue with people who appeal to emotion like this. This is how liberals argue for gun control. Put your big boy pants on if you want to discuss big boy topics.

That’s great. Let me tell you this beautiful thing about autonomy: if you don’t trust or respect doctors, you don’t have to interact with them. No one forces you to make a doctor’s appointment. No one forced you to fill a prescription or take any medication you don’t want to. Bam, problem solved.

Now I will say, as I look at my clinic schedule and surgical wait list, clearly many people disagree with you. But hey, I guess those are the weirdos!

So the answer is “I have no clue how it’s been corrupted, but I have been told by people I like that it is so I must believe them!”

Btw I do plenty of research on my specialty and am a peer reviewer. I know the process from every angle. Explain to me which part has been corrupted?

You’re just all talking points, my guy. You couldn’t explain the first step in how a study even begins, yet alone the “corrupted peer review process.”

We severely curtailed smoking in this country with a massive PR campaign, government regulations on the tobacco industry and general shaming of smoking. Perhaps the politicians and medical community could do the same thing. Ban fast food restaurants from advertising. Run a million PSAs on how being fat kills. But as it is now it seems like 75% of the ads on TV or for McDonalds and weight loss pills.

I’d really like one of the resident doctors to respond to this. We know the formula to severely curtailing unhealthy behavior. Why isn’t the medical community and our bureaucracy pursuing this strategy?

Great question!

What do you think ends up on PubMed? Just CDC and Big Pharma funded studies?

JFC do you know what PubMed is? I’m starting to truly doubt this, when I erroneously gave you the benefit of the doubt initially.
