The article says that Congress extended sanctions on Iran which violates the agreement. If the US has already broken the deal why would Iran abide by it? Sounds like there isn't an Iran deal at the moment.

This is gonna sound crazy but maybe Obama should have negotiated a treaty instead of a "deal".

So no. Nothing about weapons. Just lots of probably and maybe and "could lead to". Yawn. Just another fearmongering article about the Middle East. Hey, they have to keep our military over there somehow

nah, no problem with them having boats a lot quieter and a huge range compared to anything they may have now

They will probably use them to fish.

What is the difference and what stops a country from breaking a treaty?

I heard on top of all the dough Obama gave them he added a cash bonus and some say there may be other things he promised Iran or more money given.

It is ludicrous! If this were a non-dem POTUS; they would be tarred and feathered and removed from office.

Iran has not invaded another country since the Qajar Dynasty in the 1850's. Our politicians are bought and paid for by Saudi oil money and thus are being used as proxies to destroy the Iranian state. 19 of the 20 hijackers on 9-11 were Saudi's. Their madrassas are the foundation for radical Salafism that forms the core of ISIL. They are currently bombing Yemen to assist AQAP in the many-pronged Yemeni Civil War. Yet we want to go to war with Iran? They should be helping us eliminate ISIL and Al Qaeda.

Treaties are ratified by the Senate. There's then a legal process to amending treaties.

Iran has called for death to Christians and Jews and swears they will wipe Israel off the map.

Why do we feel that we even have a basis for restricting the type of boats other sovereign nations can build? Is this simply referring to a nuclear propulsion system? Because there isn't really anything wrong or dangerous to America about that

I assume b/c we gave them billions of dollars with an agreement not to do that and they accepted the agreement.

The same can be said of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman and Qatar. Those countries are our allies, despite their laws and beliefs. However, unlike those countries, the Iranians are Shia Muslims and thus are deemed apostates by members of ISIL and Al Qaeda. Therefore, they have more of an interest to see these terrorist groups defeated. There are no good guys in that area of the world, but we have much more in common with Iran than we think.

Yup great post. We need to put John McCain out to pasture along with his MIC war monger if cronies. They use the media to keep this fake news propaganda rolling not telling the real story of our past involvement in ME.

The intention of the Iran deal was to avoid war with Iran. I haven't been too critical on this because it at least shows the rest of the world that if war with Iran is ever necessary, it's because of them.

"Rouhani's move followed recent remarks by Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his hardline allies harshly criticizing the deal's failure to yield any swift economic improvements in Iran."

Yeah, well that's not our job, or our problem, you goat humping, pedophile worshipping fricktard.

In Iran's eyes, this is a-ok. The Koran states that is ok to lie to the infidel . So, yea, business as usual.

I think the opposite, which has been stated repeatedly by many different people. Iran increases the odds of their destruction if they possess a nuke.

A nuclear sub is not a nuclear weapon.

If I was Iran, I'd be hell bent on obtaining nukes. Seems the only way to protect yourself from American imperialism.
