Yes they will. We didn't think twice about involving ourselves in Libya specifically because they abandoned their nuclear program post 9-11. And Ghaddafi had at that point become our ally and assisted us in the War on Terror, because his biggest threat was also Al Qaeda.

There is no rhyme or reason to our foreign policy in the Middle East. We don't look out for our own interest, we instead do the bidding of the House of Saad and Israel. Both of them, along with the neocons in both parties in our government, want Iran destroyed. Their only hope is to develop nukes to use as a preemptive threat to prevent a U.S. led proxy war.
