Those people claim to love America, and to love the Constitution, but (when it boils down) they love their superstitions even more. Nothing wrong with that. Just admit it.
Well the constitution says that Christian’s and Muslims can hate gays.
I am an atheist. But they have religious freedom. Just like I’m free to be an atheist.
Currently in our society it’s okay to hate Christians, but not okay to think gays shouldn’t be married or people shouldn’t be forced to marry them.

Yeah one thing people miss from this is we grew up in a Christian society. Even as an atheist I can see what we deem moral comes from the Bible.
I would prefer to be around people that love thy neighbor.

You and I weren't discussing marriage. We were discussing two gay/lesbian people having a biological baby. You keep trying the shift the discussion topic but you haven't refuted my original point which is the biological impossibility of homosexuals reproducing by having sex with other homosexuals.

This is why people pick on you. I kind of felt sorry for the pile on the other day, but afterwards i realized you invite this shite.

What does any of that have to do with marriage?
Answer this: Government issues marriage license so therefore marriage is a government right. Why should a property owning tax payer , that is gay, not be afforded the same legal rights as a heterosexual?
Procreation is the foundation and main purpose of a society to succeed. Biblical marriage, when honored properly, is the only guaranteed form of a successful society. Gays can't provide that, so a govt that wants to be successful shouldnt be promoting gay "marriage" to be equivalent to Biblical marriage. It never will be no matter how much it's wished to be, in the eyes of God or Mother Nature, or whomever people want to worship, well other than the Devil.
Question should be why do the Democrats only promote depopulation measures like gay "marriage" and abortion, especially as their main ticket headliners.
I'm assuming if a state we're to pass a law that promoted Biblical marriage for procreation purposes, the left would freak out. Yet that would be a net positive for the society, not a negative. Believe in God or Mother Earth, there's no denying that.

That is correct but it wasn't the argument he made. He stated that a gay/lesbian couple can have a biological child. I stated that one of the two that makes up the couple will indeed not be the biological parent because, well biology.

The state should not have a say when two individuals decide to enter into a financial contract, which is all marriage is these days.
It aint about love anymore. People are materialistic twits.

They want to replace the United States with The Christian "republic" of Redneckistan.

I was feeling some empathy, but apparently he loves to be crushed on this board.

I don't feel that way. If the government wants to recognize gay marriage and provide the financial/tax advantages to said gay couples, that's the governments prerogative. I however firmly and adamantly stand against the government having the authority to force religious dissenters from having to support/provide marital services to marriages in which they conscientiously object.
I can separate my religious beliefs from the laws of the United States government. I still believe that God authored and owns marriage but I understand that SCOTUS allows for gays to marry. Where I draw a line at is the government forcing for example Christians to perform a wedding ceremony that directly violates their doctrine.

You know what, from a secular point of view, religion is just another form of philosophy. To say because it's obtained out of religion it is not good philosophy is abject stupidity.

No, but I am invigorated by the sound of your feeble efforts bouncing off my armor.

Gotta get this in as quick as possible before the new House gets seated. Lord knows, they don't have anything else to deal with. It's not like we have rampant inflation, out of control immigration, crime and murder rates. No, they know how to tackle the important stuff, like trampling morality for the sake of votes.
In case you haven't noticed elections aren't won on policy

And if the left wanted to do away with state sanctioned marriage, I would support that. They don't. It's too good of a stick to beat their opponents. And churches are too stupid to see they're demanding the right to be beaten.

And I can agree with this until I'm blue in the face, but doesn't change the fact that this isn't the approach the democrats are taking.
