Better get to 219 as the dems are trying to outcure the Colorado Pop Tart.

CO-3 isn't included. Right now, 221 looks like a lock. There is a shot at 223/224, but I would go with 222 as the final number.

Cook had the House at 222 and the Senate as a "Toss Up"

538 had the House at 228 and the Senate as a "Toss Up"

So things played out pretty much as expected. The Rs got a ton of votes in House races (about 5% more than Dems) but redistricting killed them in several races. Cook seemed to lean more heavily on the negative impact of redistricting than 538.

You were already a legend in the hurricane threads. Thank you for being informative over the past week. You were insanely accurate with your reporting.

Wait wait wait, dems control elections forever and lost house?

There was also an election called a week after election day that went for repubs? And you're acting like there's been others and will be more even farther out that go to repubs?

This does not compute.

I might agree overall. But I really thought Lake had it locked up in AZ,as well as Laxalt and Walker. If those 3 races went differently, most people wouldn't be batching too bad. WI losing governor was also not great.

I never realistically believed we had a shot in PA and MI. And Masters was consistently behind in the polls, and thought it would be tough for him. States like New Hampshire, New York, and Oregon always seemed way too good to be true.

This is about what I expected. Didn't think we'd get the senate because the tight races were incumbents in purple states and, well, shitty PA and NV.

Was hoping for 225-230 in the House and got caught up a bit in the idea of a wave for maybe 10 more, but that's my fault for not sticking with common sense.

They can't do any better than 221. And they're pretty much locked into 221.

DOJ time, Garland will announce investigations of GOP members and will contest close races. He only needs to bag a couple of them. Just in case, the Dem staffers will be working overtime on the shredders.
