I would, too. And, I do. But, that isn't enough to make a judgement...yet.

That is all I have said. But, the committee can call anyone and ask them anything. The person can be compelled to show up. Can not be compelled to answer.

If DJTj decides to say nothing...so be it. It is not like Lois Lerner. He isn't an employee. He can sit and smile and say "I've said all i will say". Or, he can answer the questions honestly.

I hope he gets snarky with the DEMs and says "you all are fools, etc". But, I see no reason for me to be upset that he is called.

I just read on CNN that there have been discussions for weeks. The committee is re-interviewing many of the people. Jared Kushner has already testified again.

Exactly, could be many things. It also at least shows the Republicans are interested in the truth vs the Dems who are WHOLLY one sided to the extreme and always will be as they are interested in power and political points they feel they can score...the truth be damned with farce of a group.

If they are republican led then why don’t they just ask him to come rather than subpoena him?

Senate Intel committee is the most corrupt in DC

This. The “republicans” on this committee are the likes of Burr, Rubio, and Sasse. In other words, Never Trumpers who despise Trump as much as the Dems do.

Don Jr should just show up and plead the fifth. Tell those corrupt asshats they can pound sand.

Actually don’t see this as bad, as the players in that meeting met and was debriefed by Hillary Clinton operatives. This whole thing was a set up to have Trump team meet with Russians, but it’s who sent them there, that’s the real story.....Who was behind this, Dems, FBI, Russia, or CIA????

He is. That man has been put thought more grief than any president and why? Because he beat Hillary. If left could snap out of their delusion they could see what and amazing job he has been doing as president. Going to be fun to watch the left start mass suicides he wins again. The gene pool needs it.

Good!
So you'd concede the Senate Committee is doing its job, even despite Hirono's hideous embarrassment during US AG Barr's recent testimony?

I am seeing this as getting his testimony out their to take one arrow away from the Dems. Don't know how it accomplishes this, but that is my opinion.

I see tons of people questioning trump and the republicans.

You know what I don't see? You, or ANY proggy questioning the democrats. Ever. For anything.

Prove me wrong.

Who said this committee was "going after" anyone. They subpoenaed someone. Hell, I was served a subpoena because I had valuable information pertinent to a claim. I was never "gone after" and was not treated poorly in any way.

True that. It's quite possible they may be swiping an arrow from Dems' quiver by going ahead and getting Junior out in the open for all to see before Dems can play the same games they've played with Barr and the fabled unredacted report. They dont really want to hear from anyone....just want to play games with the lead up thereto. Force them to ask their important questions.

ETA...RockyMtn beat me to it.

Have you watched these proceedings. They are partisan attack jobs on one side, and the opposite on the other. There is no scenario where someone subpoenaed on this case wouldn't be severely attacked.

Certainly you realize that, no?

Generally speaking, a subpoena is a sign you are going to be charged

90% of the Time

That makes no sense in this context (or many others) given that the Senate cannot charge anyone.
