Before you start with the downvotes, I abhor identity politics. I think merit should be the primary factor in selecting candidates. But that said, the GOP is going to have to start recruiting more minorities to run for office. I saw dozens of young minority Democrat candidates running against older white male Republicans. Perception is reality and the Republicans are playing right into the hands of the "old white male" narrative. The GOP needs more of John James, Marsha Blackburn, Heather Cloud, Tim Scott and less of the Roy Moores. Mia Love lost last night and that's a shame.

What if..... we ran candidates based on their competence and ability, and not on their skin color?

How about best candidate instead of best enter descriptor here candidate.

Politics is too manufactured now.

You named 5 people we need more of and 1 we need less of. Just saying to strengthen your thesis, reverse that. And FWIW, the left spent the most money to unseat a guy who was born outside the country and isn't white.

Did our Muslim candidate win? I hope so, we need Muslims who will openly acknowledge the problems Islam produces.

I have never once in my life considered voting for or against someone based on their skin color or age. I've voted for women, men, black, white, all ages. If you vote for someone based on skin color or gender, you are a piece of shite.

Kinda shits on your point.

The GOP needs to sell minorities on the free market, entrepreneurship, low taxes, and opportunity. Dems have become the party of identity politics. GOP has to become the party of freedom

we need BLIND votes.

Candidate A - supports this, policy that
Candidate B - supports this, policy that.

What a novel fricking concept.

Diversity quotas are BY DEFINITION - racist. You are LITERALLY judging people by the color of their skin.

I used to be happy knowing that I am smarter than 99.9% of the world. Now it makes me sad to realize just how STUPID most people are.

I truly thought telling people they don't even have a 3 digit IQ was a serious zinger..... but in reality, MOST people do not. WTF!

Do you honestly believe that the GOP runs candidates based solely on merit? Yet you guys melt down over all the RINOs in Congress. I never suggested the GOP run anyone based on their race or gender and you know it. I'm suggesting they recruit minority candidates of merit to run. Simple as that. Stay ignorant as the left monopolizes the narrative on the way to installing a leftist totalitarian government.

Why in the world did you include Heather Cloud in this list?

Republicans had more women up for votes than democrats last night. There was a hard push for John James, Mia Love, a muslim republican, and Desantis from Florida and Cruz from Texas are hispanic.

People have been beating on the John James is a rock star for months, but he didn't get invited to Ellen or Kimmel.

In case you didn't notice, the media intentionally and willfully ignored him.

There are some who hang onto this fantasy that if we just become more superficial like them, all our problems will vanish.

Considering that one rarely sees this? (Running candidates based on competence). Typically the most competent person already is doing something else.

How do you figure that? Just for the House, Dims ran 231 women, Repubs ran 78. Keep sleeping at the wheel. Keep the Les Miles model of running the toss dive over and over. Demographics are changing in the U.S. You can continue to let the Dims paint Republicans as racist and sexist. This country will soon be a one party communist country.

Neither have I. Y'all are being deliberately obtuse.
