That’s adorable

So let me get this straight, you only want to believe that Democrats have voted for border security, including fencing, in the past only when it suits your agenda?

quote:

“Senator Chuck Schumer, who you will be hearing from later tonight,” Trump said, “has repeatedly supported a physical barrier in the past, along with many other Democrats.

- Trump, 1/8/2019

Perhaps you should look into the Secure Fence Act of 2006, signed into law that October by George W. Bush and supported in the Senate by Schumer, Obama and Clinton.

Ok, let's compromise. Can we build a SMART wall like Hurd is suggesting, that costs less per mile and is more effective?

Will Hurd is the most ANTI-TRUMP Congressman out there next to Adam Schiff. He is a Republican in name only and if you recall Trump never endorsed him.

Now as to his diatribe about the border, ANYTHING that comes out of his mouth should automatically be discounted because the Congressman has some sort of hidden vested interest in keeping that Border open. One can only guess as to whether those interests are legal or illegal.

Does Hurd patrol the border? Because the Border Patrol does. And they contradict him.

Was he there to arrest the over 300 illegal aliens yesterday? Was he there when the caravan aliens rushed the border multiple times and had to be repealed with non-lethal weapons? Because the border patrol was. And they contradict him.

Has he been there when aliens have thrown things at the Border Patrol, shot at the Border Patrol, and in instances have killed Border Patrol agents? Because the Border Patrol was. And they contradict him.

Has he been there during the many large drug busts that contain heroin and other drugs that contribute to the extremely excessive opoid overdose epidemic that’s kills many Americans every day? Dangerous drug busts that are sent over by the cartels? Because the Border Patrol was. And they contradict him.

I encourage you to not listen to a rep that stays in a bubble in Washington and has to pander to a new left of center voting base in south Texas brought on by Illegal Immigration to keep his cushy job and benefits. Because the Border Patrol provides some really good insight on the border issue.

Experts: We need a border wall and it will work

Liberals: Nuh uh

You know that this graph only covers the first month and a half of 2018, right?

And you know this graph, and hundreds like it have been proven to be utter horseshite, because they include shootings near schools, not involving students, when students weren't even present, involving people not associated with the school in any way, right?

Or do you really think you can name 17 legitimate school shootings from January 1 2018, to February 15 2018, if what you say is correct?

Bruh I have no idea, nor do I care. I was just pointing out that he shouldn't try to show a decrease compared to previous years using a graph that only provided 1.5 months of data.

Compromise is what has us sitting here with 10-20 million illegal aliens in this country, which costs us 130 billion per year. Compromise doesn't involve giving me something that the next leftist president can walk away from, bring the problem right back, only worse, and more expensive.

Compromise with traitors, liars, and anti-American shitbags is treason, and selling out the American people. Build the wall. Then we can discuss compromise.

We can haggle on semantics and what constitutes a 'crisis' vs. what doesn't, but that doesn't get anyone anywhere.

The use of the word "crisis" is intentionally done to foster fear among the People.
quote:

any large number of illegal crossings is a problem.

Yes, a problem, but we shouldn't over-react to it.
quote:

We can disagree until the cows come home the best way to combat that problem

We could certainly start by looking at what factors were pivotal in reducing the numbers in the recent past.
quote:

I don't see any merit in putting forward that there is no problem at all down there.

I'm not sure anybody is saying that.

But we have a LOT of problems, many of which are far more problematic than the one at the border. IMO, Trump is wasting political capital on getting 'HIS' wall built. I, and I believe the majority of the country, would support Trump shutting the government down over demanding a balanced budget.

I would also support Trump in shutting down the government over entitlement reform.

We have other more serious problems than the border issue, the solutions to which may also help solve the problem at the border. That's my main gripe with this whole wall issue, it just hasn't been sold adequately enough for me to think it's more important than a large number of other issues plaguing us.

Why would we want to read his stupid, traitorous BS?

Anyone that doesn't want ALL illegal immigration stopped immediately is the enemy, and all the semantics and splitting of hairs on earth isn't going to change that.

Eh, don't mind me. I'm just grumpy because I'm having to prep for our yearly ISO 27001 audit with a HITRUST audit on top of that.

Just be thankful you have the one audit and compliance framework to deal with. I'm up to three, with probably a fourth one (NERC-CIP) on the way.
