The CIA wants an open border so they can easily move guns, drugs, and assets.

From Hurd:

quote:

We do not have operational control of our border. Operational control meaning we know everything that’s going one way or the other. The only way you do that is by looking at all 2,000 miles of border at the same time. The only way you can look at all 2,000 miles of border at the same time is by using technology. The technology exists where you can deploy, whether it’s radar or LiDAR — LiDAR is radar, but with light instead of sound — cameras, infrared. You need a mile-by-mile assessment because each mile is different from the next.

I knew this was Hurd before even opening the thread. This is what the death throes of a Congressman who knows he cannot be reelected looks like.

What he doesnt understand is that catering to the left will not help him. They will never, ever vote for him. All he is doing is alienating his right, which will result in a primary challenge, or depressed GOP turnout. For someone who barely was reelected this time, its certainly a bold strategy.

Wonder why previous presidents called it a crisis as well...

They did, and they took action to solve the problem.

You wouldn't have to wonder, if you actually informed yourself on the situation. But then you might find out that the crisis isn't as dire as it was, and that you can cut back on crossings without a wall, and therefore you'd have to admit you're not MAGA, and then all your friends would laugh at you and call you a liberal.

But, here's a graph that pretty much sums it up:

Look at the point on the graph when Trump said there is a border crisis. lol

I respect Will Hurd for being one of the few not-insane Republicans in Washington.

Was liking aggies after watching the video this morning of the guy running into gunfire to save that child... now this story takes em back down to zero.

I agree, he's a Cyber guy like me and has an Intel background.

He's really smart and understands these issues by being so close to them.

School shootings are way down. Will the next ONE be called a "crisis"?

let me guess the 21st century solution is just to let as many Illegal Immigrants in as possible? Right?

And what is your role? Don't worry, I'm not fishing for what agency you work for or anything.

You do realize that Hurd's election margin was greater than Trump's right?
