show me 1 example of a child getting gender reassignment surgery in Louisiana.

Why are you bitching out and listing insurance policies and the names of mutilation surgeries you’re in favor of instead of this state law you vehemently claim exists?

quote:

once again, there have been 0 gender assignment surgeries done on minors in Louisiana.

If true, then why are you so upset about a law being put in place that would prevent the first one from ever occurring?

because this law doesn't just prevent surgeries, it prevents all treatment.

if they rewrite it to only prevent surgeries i'm all for it.

What do you mean "now"? Weren't you saying the law was already on the books?

I just find it hilarious how when it came to covid treatment it was, "why don't we trust doctors with patient care instead of the government preventing them"

I find it hilarious how stupid you are since you think the outcome of covid was people placing more faith in the medical community and not the exact opposite.

he left and the right are mirrors

This is the same shot you closet progressives always parrot to make the absolute ridiculousness of your belief system seem less absurd.

When are you linking this state law you are very confident exists?

the law is medical policy. it determines what doctors can and can't do.

where did i say this? I thought doctors should be allowed to treat covid with Ivermectim and B12 if they thought it was best for their patients. People should be free to choose their own healthcare for themselves/children.

Good. That’s fantastic. Only people that support the mutilation of children would disagree.

That cant possibly be true. You’ve stated repeatedly in this thread that nothing about this is necessary because a law preventing it already exists.

You couldn’t have possibly been lying about that earlier, could you?

it wasn't a lie, I stated a page ago I was misinformed

it is still Louisiana clinical procedure. which covers what doctors can and cannot do.

Children under 18 should not be allowed to get surgery for gender issues. they should however be allowed to receive treatment.

How about a parent wanting liposuction for their 13 year old who is suffering from anorexia? If they can find one doctor who'll do it, they should be able to get the procedure done right?

We believe this is a mental health issue and the treatment should be therapy, not surgery or other medical intervention to affirm rather than treat the mental illness.

I guess the alarmingly high suicide rate among trans people comes from them not being able to find Levi's that fit
Trans folks have statistically higher instances of severe mental health issues. No one contests this axiom.

What (if anything) is the difference in the suicide rate for those who transition vs those who do not?

It seems to me that THIS is the relevant question.

To the Dimwits: This is a response to the point raised by the preceding poster and does not address surgeries for minors.

There's nothing like taking confused, insecure children, pumping them full of drugs that aren't natural to their body and creating something they weren't born to be.

Classic case you people like you not understand cause-effect.

Gotcha. So if a 12 year old wants to be Hulk, you can turn his skin green and pump him full of steroids.

therapy, medication depending on the child's age, situation.

this is an issue for the medical board. if a doctor is being negligent they should have their license revoked
