Erdogan has claimed victory in Turkey’s election for president after collecting over 50% of the vote on 90% voter turnout. But reports if widespread voter fraud hang in the backdrop. Ince will not conceed until Supreme Election Council announces final results.

Link: Voter Fraud

quote:

In the eastern provinces, election fraud complaints are at an all-time high. In the eastern city of Van, several military helicopters brought the ballots with them.
quote:

Furthermore, according to Mezopotamya Agency, members of the HDP electoral commission were blocked in Diyarbakir by armed government funded "village guards". They entered into four different rural areas in Kulp and intimidated voters, forcing two villages to end voting. The same happened in the neighbourhoods of Agacli, Narcice, Zeyrek and Duzce. Due to voting irregularities in the village of Yukari Haydan in the Egil district, the ballot boxes were closed
quote:

Yol Tv reports that ballot box stuffing has taken place in Urfa's Suruc, a stronghold for the HDP, with a video of an angry reporter screaming that "despite not everyone even voting et, the ballot-box has been filled, as you can all see. Apparently, the Ballot box committee has yet to comment on the situation. The allegation of voting fraud is said to have taken place at GAP Anadolu High School at ballot-boxes 1043 and 1044.
quote:

In Erzurum's Yakutiye, election observers were forcefully taken out of a voting station. In Urfa's Gecit Village, men have voted on behalf of women. And, a CHP party council member, Mehmet Ali Celebi has said that in 30 villages in Urfa, dispatched election observers were forcefully removed from the premises containing ballot boxes.
quote:

Voting irregularities have also happened across Turkey in general. A citizen in Istanbul's Sariyer was caught with two ballot-envelopes, there were fewer envelopes than the number of voters recorded in a primary school in Izmir, ballot-box 2082. And in Kocaeli, election observers were ruthlessly beaten by a mob.

Snide comments aside, it’s worth noting that Ince is the secular alternative to Erdogan’s extremism. He would represent, and facilitate, a significant ‘western’ movement in Turkey. Also much more friendly to Turkish Kurds.

If the election was rigged, exposing it and getting Ince elected would be a major win.

Yeah it would be a major victory but I am not counting on it.

The set-up coup attempt a few summers back burned me on thinking Turkey will change because Erdogan is just taking the opportunity to kill his potential challengers.

Yep, unless Trump gets involved, Edrogon’s puppets on the court will ensure his victory and those who accuse him of votor fraud will be silenced by goons or simply disappear. Edrogon is essentially a dictator at this point. My friends in CAIR all love Edrogon and can’t believe there are still Turks who oppose him.

The failed coup ensured he would do this. No question it was rigged

They must have flown in poll workers from Broward County.

Probably safer than flying the sheriffs in. At least something will be done by the poll workers.

POLICE in Turkey have arrested three people after sacks overflowing with sealed ballot papers were found in a car they were driving adding fuel to speculation today’s election was rigged.

It's not surprising that there are allegations of voting fraud; Erdogan was never going to leave without a fight.

If the Turkish people believe there was widespread voter fraud, then they should rise up and fight against an authoritarian regime. As long as the people don't try to sell oil in anything other that USD or create their own currency, Western countries won't interfere.

The military is nothing but Edrogan loyalists now and the people are unarmed. Unless they are willing to face tanks with picket lines and protest signs, there will be no uprising to unseat Edrogan.

Like I said, the faux coup has pretty much killed any chances of dealing with this because he’s purged non-loyal elements.

Removing him will come down to economic collapse or an invasion. And I would put my money on the Saudis and Israelis fricking their economy if/when they are done with Syria and Iran.
