Those elementary school kids are like 15

Not really. Just laughing at how soft our military has become that they can't handle a teacher being thanked for their service. I guess the board is right about them after all.
I'm not in the military, nor have I ever been in the military.
If you don't understand the difference between the service of soldiers who stormed Omaha Beach and the "service" of a school teacher then you are hopelessly stupid and ignorant.
You obviously are not a student of history or you would understand that our military is the only thing standing between you and those in the world that would impose their evil.

We’re last in almost every category among first world nations. Maybe they should provide less.

I mean, have you done both? I’d rather storm the beach and maybe die a hero than spend my life around small children.
You are a sniveling liberal soy infused pussyfart piece of shite, proven by your anti-American cock sucking on this board. You would NEVER have the courage to storm a fricking beach, and it would be a BLESSING to humanity if you NEVER had any influence on small children. So shut the frick up, you pussy.
HERE IS A MOMENT BELOW WHERE TYFYS is appropriate:
Thank You For Your Service

They're very different services. But both are providing a service to the community and should be thanked for their service...I'm not understanding why you're so upset about this.

Ooooooh. So now I'm really confused why you're so bent out of shape but not so much about why you're so whiney.

That’s not the point of the OP. The point was that you have to run directly into gunfire with the expectation of certain death to be considered a person of service. As if “service” is binary. A waiter provides a service. A cop provides a service. A city council member provides a service. A garbage man provides a service. There is a spectrum of service to the public.

The difference is, when you volunteer to join the military, it's with the understanding that you may be killed, or have to kill someone else, for your country.
All gave some, but some gave all.

It used to be common knowledge that you choose a teaching career because it's an easy job loaded with vacation time.
Ten or Twenty years ago they started the nonstop propaganda of teachers being underpaid, teachers being heroes.
Most teachers don't have a clue about the real world because their entire lives have consisted of attending school and teaching.
They have no idea what it's like in the private sector where you have to produce and hit deadlines and turn a profit.
Most teachers are just overgrown children.

It probably has more to do with putting up with little Jaxxon and La'Keisha's parents after they both get failing grades.

Plenty of people could out of the military right now and with no training at all, could do a teacher’s job. How many teachers would be capable of doing that service member’s job?

They just don't get it.
Teachers are like children who don't have a clue about the world.
The idea that the "service" of a school teacher should even be mentioned in the same breath as the service of a soldier that charged Omaha Beach just shows their ignorance.

Cmon man. They work 8 to 3 for 9 months out of the year minus bank holidays. Soooo difficult.

Well for private companies sure. And those companies should thank them for the service they provide to that operation. That's just good management.

Ok. So there is more commitment to military service. Totally agreed. It doesn't mean that they're the only service I'm supposed to be thankful for. That's silly.

Did the reporter equivocate teacher service with Omaha Beach or did you do that? I think that’s the question in this case. That makes all the difference.
