The problem we have is Russias Nuke Arsenal. The US was never gonna get involved enough to provoke that type of response. We can’t keep sending weapons and printing money without destroying our economy and leaving us open to military threats. Biden is behaving much like LBJ in Vietnam. In both cases we are involved in war without having the willingness to unleash the might of our military. We are just doing a bunch of half measures that Putin can wait out. At the same time we are emptying our weapons stockpiles, emptying our petroleum reserves and inflating our currency. That is a recipe for a big arse disaster. I just hope somehow we get lucky and avoid it.

I posted this in the OT thread yesterday and got hammered. Wake up today and sure enough Putin is bombing Kyiv and taking out power and water. Our current policy is not sustainable. It only leads to more death and destruction for Ukraine and possibly ourselves.

That's a two-way street my friend. And let's be real, any negotiation that doesn't include the return of those areas of the Donbas which have been formally annexed by Russia is a non-starter to the Zelensky government.

You ever heard the expression cutting off your nose to spite your face? Cause Zelensky demanding the return of Donbas is a text book example.

time to bring Ukraine to the peace table. No more money or weapons until they start working for peace.

Their efforts to defend their sovereign territory from foreign invasion really are outrageous.

It’s almost as if they’re being paid to fight and avoid peace .

It's not that. Look at the threads posted last night about the unrest within the EU. Russia's invasion has destabilized Europe, and the EU is one of our biggest and most trusted trading partners.

That's going to be VERY expensive for the US, especially if the damage is long-lasting.

It was just Austria that Hitler started with. He said he had no intentions to invade any one else. Same with Putin. It was just Georgia, then Crimea, then the Ukraine, then Belarus, next It will be Poland and East Germany, then Finland. So your solution is we should just sit back and watch?

They, can defend it all they want. It was a fools errand thinking We were gonna make a difference doing anything short of going to war with Russia ourselves to save them. Are you comfortable with going to war with Russia over Ukraine? Risking Armageddon like the president said? It will become clear to some in the next few weeks just how shifty this was all handled by the west. When Europe is freezing without energy, gas is damn. ear $6 a gallon and we possibly have to decide to declare war with Russia.

You are trying to reason with crazy people. I would accept “I don’t think it is a American interest too be involved.” Instead you get biological weapons, money laundering, pedophilia, Putin is a champion of conservatism…

Wait I was told it's wrong to attack sovereign countries? And that we should support whichever side is being attacked. Will NPCs be changing their social media profiles to the Belarus flag now?

Yeah I don’t know a ton about this conflict but thought this was the whole premise of supporting Ukraine by the masses

Same with Putin.
It was just Georgia,

A poor example

then Crimea,

Another poor example

then the Ukraine,

Okay

then Belarus,

Yet another poor example

next It will be Poland

Sky scream

East Germany,

Sky scream

then Finland.

More sky screaming

So out of your entire list, there is only one legitimate example.

Congrats on your programming.

So when is it OK to stop this decade+ Russian aggression? To you, I mean. Ukraine isn't the first (just the worst and biggest).

I just actually clicked the link in OP and there is no legitimate sourcing in this story

Is anyone of credibility reporting this? Honest question.

It did stop from 2016-2020. This all started in 2014 when Crimea and Donbas were taken. You think it s a coincidence the same dumbasses running State and Defense in 2014 are running them today? This group of dumbasses wouldn’t squash the Taliban. You don’t think Putin saw that?

This is bullshite.

This is the dictator (and Russian puppet) of Belarus trying to get ahead of justifying their potential invasion into Ukraine.

This is straight up, classic, Putin disinformation (very similar to his "Nato" excuse for invading Ukraine).
