Special Counsel Robert Mueller is preparing to complete his investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign without interviewing the president, according to reports.

The two sides have been negotiating for months to set up a sit down, but those talks collapsed after the FBI this week raided the home and office of President Trump's personal lawyer, according to NBC News.

Mueller's report is expected to be released as early as next month.

Mueller had nothing so he went with the raid to let someone else move forward and start another round of harassing the president These people are criminals.

That's my thought -- he had nothing and a likely interview with Trump would provide nothing so the raid was a hail mary.

Now, what we should know is how much of our tax dollars were spent on this witch hunt.

All they did was shift the investigation into another arena.

As soon as the report drops, Trump needs to purge DOJ starting with Sessions and Rosenstein. We need someone that will actively pursue what is inevitably coming in the IG report

And this is the scary part and what is drawing Trump's ire -- this "investigation" has moved far beyond its original scope. They keep moving the goal posts so they can continue.

If Mueller does close the investigation I am sure the liberals\never trumpers\MSM will all say he was a partisan hack.

Even though every single person on his team is a democrat and swamp dweller.

The only person with strong ties to Russians (not during the election but her prior shady dealings) is Hillary and she is untouchable.

Don't really get this

If Mueller wraps it up and says "here is what I found, Russia did X Y and Z, these people were found to lie to us and this person was found guilty of some ancillary crime. We also referred out some other criminal activity to the appropriate authority. Found no evidence of any coordinated collusion with Trump or senior Trump officials, with the slight caveat of these 3 incidents, but none of those are actionable by my investigation"

Would anyone really be mad at Mueller?

Findings notwithstanding, I take issue with how Mueller has ballooned this investigation so far beyond the scope on its original intent. If you don't find evidence, you shut it down and move on, you don't expand the search.

The report is supposed to address the obstruction of justice investigation and not address campaign/Russia coordination itself. That should be going for longer.

I never believed there would be an interview with the president. The only thing that would happened, is he'd have perjured himself. And with the hostile political environment we're currently in, it wouldn't have amounted to anything.

So the investigation will continue like expected.

Sorry, I don't believe this. PT74 told us Honest Bob was going to find this collusion and that it did in fact occur. He took a picture with McCain that one time.
