Report: FBI email chain unearthed by investigators contains damning evidence of fisa abuse

The email exchanges included then-FBI Director James Comey, key FBI investigators in the Russia probe and lawyers in the DOJ’s National Security Division, and they occurred in early to mid-October, before the FBI successfully secured a FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
The email exchanges show the FBI was aware — before it secured the now-infamous warrant — that there were intelligence community concerns about the reliability of the main evidence used to support it: the Christopher Steele dossier.
The exchanges also indicate FBI officials were aware that Steele, the former MI6 British intelligence operative then working as a confidential human source for the bureau, had contacts with news media reporters before the FISA warrant was secured.
If the FBI knew of his media contacts and the concerns about the reliability of his dossier before seeking the warrant, it would constitute a serious breach of FISA regulations and the trust that the FISA court places in the FBI.
That’s because the FBI has an obligation to certify to the court before it approves FISA warrants that its evidence is verified, and to alert the judges to any flaws in its evidence or information that suggest the target might be innocent.

Sources tell me the email chain provides the most direct evidence the bureau, and possibly the DOJ, had reasons to doubt the Steele dossier before the FISA warrant was secured.
Whoa

Is this the Solomon piece Bongino was talking about yesterday?

Burn it all down

That is big. It also gives more ammo to the theory that the FBI used the media to get the warrant, but the media was given the info from the fbi. Circles.

Sauces. Really hope it’s true but I’ll believe it when they release it and bring down this house of cards

Mueller is illegitimate. Shut it down

And not a damn thing will happen. Comey already gone.

No, he was talking about a piece that linked the Uranium 1 scandal to the FISA scandal. Can't remember when he dropped that article.

Declassify the application so we can see if this was done!

We are better off with no FBI than with this FBI.

OIG is toothless here. But a special counsel isn’t if these clearly constitute crimes and implicate individuals in those crimes.
I’m aftaid most of this will be seen as negligence which may not be criminal.

But who would investigate the next supreme court justice's high school years?

I don’t think it’s a coincidence this is being leaked just prior to Comey testifying behind closed doors.
It’s a chess move on the DS. Let’s see how Comey reacts. IMO, he pleads the 5th a lot.

a slick talking lawyer like you would know that NO FISA judge (even if Peter Peter the Lisa Page Va jay jay eater) met one of the FISA judges at a country club gathering and the fix was in, could approve such a thing in black and white if it is even hinted to be partisan/political, salacious and bogus.

To the contrary, if the judge knew the target was political, you’d think he/she would be damn sure the probable cause was there. I’d err on the side of caution.
But I understand you want the nefarious conspiracy so the fix has to be in

all of this is so hard to keep up with but I believe it has been reported before that Comey was in on the set-up of sedition/insurance policy against Trump- e-mails. But now we know they were all in on the entire plan.
Comey will be given cushy questions by the dems but there is no way of hiding this now.
