But Trump didn’t have the vision to truly stop them. He was a nuisance more than anything else to them. Trump did indeed impede them from invading Taiwan, that much is true, but I don’t think Trump had the vision of stopping the BRI. He sure as shite is much better than what we have now though.

Very good question. And was in their hands for a couple of months before the CIA or FBI knew, and he came to the DIA for that very reason.....and nothing.

This, so ask again what was the risk to china? They are doing it in collaboration with the US govt. What would the backlash be? They watched the entire US press shamelessly target Trump and cover up more than one soft coup. When the dems told them they could fix the election if they would help with the virus, the only risk was not helping and having biden punish them with sanctions.

I tend to go with this thought process as well. This was an unintentional leak, which was subsequently capitalized on for as much as possible given the circumstances.
China BRI is the long-term plan to marginalize/weaken us and strengthen themselves before either achieving economic dominance to the point of making the U.S. a subservient vassal state, or WWIII. China is patient; they are waiting, watching, preparing.
