I work with very cool American who happens to be black. I don’t say African American because we’re all Americans. One of his biggest issues is when will black Americans receive reparations. It comes up every time we have a political discussion. It will be pushed forward now because of the current events and the goal for America to admit that systemic racism is a reality. I don’t think it is.

I think reparations are the logical conclusion for many of the blm group.
I don’t agree with it.
How many of the blacks in America today can prove that they are directly harmed because of slavery?
And why only blacks? What about Indians? Italians? Women?

How the frick aren't they. You can be a single black woman with 4 kids. The country will feed them, educate them, and provide them with healthcare. If they stay felony free and stay out of the streets they can attend college and possibly get hired before an equally qualified white person

The good thing about these give away moneys is that the money would immediately be spent and stimulate the economy.
Same as these covid bucks,spent quickly and put back in circulation.
I used to get mad about how much pro athletes got paid until I realized that they spend it all.No better way to stimulate the economy than millions of bucks being thrown away,even though many are scratching a broke arse when they quit sports.
But my family,nor I,have ever owned any slaves so you're welcome to any undeserving individual who gets money from an undeserving taxpayer having to foot the bill for such foolishness.

Wonder if there would be an immediate freeze on ability to change your irs deductions with your employer. Otherwise most of us arent stopping paying taxes. Its going to come out of your pay....and everything you buy.
