eta - I am indicating the DEM political methodology - not really trying to assert evil intent by individual blacks. Most of them have been brainwashed by a constant drumbeat of 'racist' propaganda their entire lives. They are ignorant - not evil. The maestros of this bullshite are the evil ones - and more whites than blacks inhabit that group.

Reparations are absolutely coming, except they wont call it reparations due to backlash.
They will rephrase it and push it through in other bills. Little at a time, not to cause an uproar.

I think my biggest questions are:
Do you have to prove, via genealogy, that you descend from slaves, or does showing sub-Saharan African in your DNA profile suffice?
Is this only open to AAs or anyone who can prove a ink to an enslaved ancestor?
Does the enslaved ancestor have to have been enslaved in the US?
A good friend of the family is first generation American with both parents from Cuba. The family did Ancestry's DNA test and it shows some traces of sub-Saharan African...meaning they have roots in the slaves that were brought to Cuba or the other islands. Do they get reparations?
What about those of us who have family lines that came to the US after the WBTS, do we get some type of ta credit? My dad's parents came here after WW1 from the UK. Do I get a 50% discount for what I have to pay because only my mom's line possibly owned slaved?

I agree it's coming, but not in the way you think. There won't be a Direct Payment exclusively to Black People/Descendents of Slaves.
There's going to be an increased Welfare system to low income households with children, which will disproportionately affect black families. Cory Booker is selling this as his Baby Bond idea.
57% of Black Households makes < 50k per year. When UBI starts, they will be the social group most prevalently affected.
Politically, committees will constantly study "reparations" and always conclude (1) that they need more time to study and (2) but in the mean time, we can do x policy for low income families with children.

If truth was really found out, most Americans would find both slave and slave owner relatives at some point in history. But since when did the truth matter when there's an agenda to push?

I assume this will all expand to where it isn’t about whether you are a descendant of a slave. Rather, the qualifier will simply be being black as the “systematic racism” has kept you down.
Of course, I am not sure how this would be constitutional without eliminating the Equal Protection Clause. Awarding taxpayer money to persons based upon the color of their skin is a clear violation.

This idea would seem to address the heart of what the radical Left is really driving at with the 'equity' argument and it wouldn't cost as much.
