This so needs to happen. The senate would turn it to ashes if it even makes it that far. At least he is trying though.

Getting out front of Trump.

It should be referred to as the Department of Indoctrination and good luck getting rid of it.

I continue to ask fans of the DOE to point to where the US Constitution charges the federal government with the primary education of our nation's children.
I can show you that exact passage in the Communist Manifesto.

He's probably in the top five of most truly capital C Conservative members of Congress. What are you talking about?

The DOE has been an important part of the government since our Founding Father, Jimmy Carter, started it in 1979.
But seriously, can anyone point to a single positive thing that has come out of the DOE?
The idea that the federal government has to be involved in education is a joke.

Why is he wasting his time and effort?
It has zero chance of passing.

As with all of the administrative bloat that was added in the 20th Century, the given answer is "the general Welfare". Article 1 Section 8.

Even if they can’t get it through right now, I like that they’re bringing it up - grow acceptance and get our reps used to the ideas, so eventually when we have the right leadership they will be able to pass it.

Forget about all the indoctrination stuff. Let's talk strictly about ROI.
By any effective measure, this is the worst money we spend. Fire them all.

Get people talking. Letting people know the DOE is a waste of money.

People called me crazy when I talked about eliminating government from schools. Who's crazy now?

That chart is identical to the War on Drugs expenditures vs. drug addiction

Large government bureaucracies have eternal life. That's the golden rule in Washington.
