It is a safe guess that she has never been a 1099 worker.
I don’t think Upgrayedd pays taxes for his girls.

Someone who pays an arse ton.
Also people who aren’t sure if they’ll qualify for tax credits. Maybe something like a historic building tax credit which involves a lengthy process and governmental review and has to verify you hit all of their requests in planning and eventually in construction. It can take years to go through the whole process. But only people who work in real estate development would qualify for those. Likely not a politic......
Wait.

What a fricking moron. These people screamed for him to release his taxes, and they are fricking clueless about how taxes work.

I'm guessing she's asking because she doesn't pay any taxes.

Most businesses are required to prepay quarterly taxes. I've done it for years.
Also, payroll withholding IS prepaying taxes

Who prepays taxes?
Business owners. It's that simple. You prepay payroll, SS and Medicare taxes quarterly, then reconcile what you prepaid with what you actually owe during the full filing. Often, since the quarterly taxes are due two weeks before the end of the quarter, you have to project what you owe those last two weeks, which results in a refund from overpaying.

Or a W-2.....technically withholdings are pre-payments.

Easy answer. Donald Trump does. I have a question though. Who in their right mind goes to their job in DC as a congressperson dressed like a frickin rodeo clown?

I don’t pay an arse ton, but still have to pay an estimate quarterly, especially when trading options heavily

W2 is withholding and most people never see that money.
1099 workers tend to cut quarterly checks to pay for their estimated tax.
My general point is “she hasn’t been in a position where she has had to cut the government a check.”

Came to post this. EVERYONE prepays taxes... And most don't have a choice in the matter.

We withhold taxes from our workers on a weekly basis and pay it to the IRS. I estimate my taxes and pay the IRS on a quarterly basis. Sometimes I over pay. If I overpay I roll it forward for the next quarter.
Those are examples of prepaying taxes and it’s very common,
