Like the Democrats give two fricks about the rules.
If they cared about the rules this impeachment would never have even gotten off the ground.

Good. Put them on the record.
It’s not like a minority hearing is going to change any minds in Congress at this point anyway. This was never about finding the facts.

I'm actually surprised they didn't make this push during the House Intel hearings. I guess they wanted to let Schiff take all the rope he wanted.

Take them to Federal Court.

They did, Nunes submitted the same request dont think anything was said on it though.

and in so doing, give the Senate a rock solid basis to dismiss this matter on motion from the President.

It’s in our interests to delay a vote as long as possible IMO.
The Dems want to rush this in 2019 and we should not make it easy for them (no matter what benefits we perceive that we’ll earn from actual impeachment).

Definitely. Dems desperately want to have this done before end of year. A delay beyond then would short circuit them hilariously.

They made the same request in the intel cmte and nothing came of it

I would love for Collins & Nunes to sue Nadler & Schiff on this.

That's because the rules don't apply to the democrats.

Oh I don't think Nadler's gonna accommodate the Republicans on the request. It would just be a "win" IF he did.
Only possible benefit to come from this is in the way of "optics"....more denial of process.

They could certainly attempt a stay/restraining order along with lawsuit seeking court-ordered hearing they're requesting. Unfortunately I easily envision the courts declining to get involved. I suppose it would have to be a stay along with constitutional due process issue raised in lawsuit.
