Reminder of why Justice Roberts is compromised. He illegally adopted his kids.

Clapper and Brennan tapped his phone and discovered that John Roberts and this wife potentially illegally adopted their beautiful kids from Ireland. This was the leverage Obama had over Roberts. Roberts was the deciding vote on Obamacare making it a tax. If he didn’t vote the right way the Obama DOJ and NYTs would have made his life a living hell and he didn’t want to potentially lose his newly adopted kids so he vote in a manner to save his family.

Roberts never was a conservative in the first place. That is the simplest answer. No need for convoluted conspiracy theories.

It’s confusing because we are dealing with two countries and I wasn’t clear in the OP, but it is explained in the video.

Doesn’t have the same leverage as it did in 2012. His kids are adults now.

Exactly. He was appointed straight to Chief Justice by GWB, upon recommendations from HW Bush and his cronies. He's just one of those high brows who thinks he's above the 'Trump' crowd and wants to distance himself.

Also, why is Roberts still voting the same way? Did the blackmail him in 2012 and make him pinky swear he’d toe that line forever?
