So . . . which "dominoes" would have "fallen"?
No, the Georgia legislature could not have simply voted to overturn the election result & appoint Trump electors over specious allegations of "voter fraud". Even if that would or could have been done, flipping 16 electoral votes from Biden to Trump wouldn't have changed the outcome of the national election. The only other swing state this cycle where Republicans control all the levers of power in state government is Arizona, but even if it too had overturned the election results that still wouldn't have put Trump over 269 EVs. And the other 3 swing states in play - Wisconsin, Michigan & Pennsylvania - have Democratic governors, so this whole hare-brained scheme was predestined to fail.
Nonetheless, Kemp & Raffensperger were supposed to violate the law, expose themselves to criminal liability, risk their careers & subvert democracy out of personal loyalty to Trump?! And then take the fall when it blew up? And then in the end be hung out to dry by Trump? Just like all those vile "patriots" who stormed the capitol at Trump's urging, intending to overturn the election by force, but were soon reduced to begging Trump for pardons that never came & are now staring at some serious prison time.

Nice strawman argument. But believing that Kemp shouldn't have done what was right by the voters of GA because it wouldn't change the national total is wrong on many levels. Kemp could have called a special session. He and Rappensperger could have initiated a full forensic audit. Instead we simply rescanned ballots and called it a day. In a state with hundreds of thousands of possible fraudulent votes the total of 14K was well within the margin.
Regardless of what other states did the had a responsibility to the party and constituents that they grossly neglected. I for one cant wait to primary their asses.
