Judge went out of his way to emphasize that damage to Pool was caused by the contractor's "rushed and botched" job.

At no point was this going to end any other way.

If you didn't know that from the get go, yikes.

Agreed. The emotional investment in this has been hilarious. As if Trump himself were down there lining the pool with some faulty material.

Well he literally had some people arrested and charged them with felonies for things they never did and crimes that never occurred. All in order to cover for a contractor who got paid $12 million to frick something up.

Is there a term for that? It's not "emotional investment" .

I think those who called for jailing people may have dibs on the emotional investment.

He sure did say a lot of stupid s*** about it. Whole thing would've been a nonstory without him meddling.

Just hire a reputable company to fix it and keep it moving...

Knowing how childish you are, I have to say I'm not a lib, or you would crow "you didn't deny it!"

To save time, this is my eternal denial that I am a liberal or an alter (your other "burn").

In the scheme of things, it's certainly not a huge deal either way. I posted it just because of how unusual it is for a DC judge to dismiss a criminal complaint with prejudice (meaning it can't be brought again).

You do know Jeanine Pirro's office had already withdrawn the prosecution before today's ruling on the “with prejudice” issue, right?

Agreed. Trump was convicted because emotional morons don’t know the difference between assessed value and fair market value. You’re one of them.

I didn't think there would be a conviction, but I am surprised that it was dismissed with prejudice.

At the very preliminary stage of a case, it's unusual for a judge to conclude that the there is no scenario where the prosecution might ultimately find incriminating evidence in the future.

Isn’t there some video out there showing someone cutting the liner? Is it a different person?

That's because the whole thing was unusual and nothing more than bizaare Trump fan fiction.

In a normal administration, I'd agree with you.

Right. That had no bearing on whether or not Hearn could have been prosecuted in the future for the same offense.

You do know that...right?

It’s obviously not a win for the libs, but it is incredibly embarrassing for the president.

Try to keep up. I was responding to the question about knowing what would happen at the very beginning.
