So the steal didn't go quite as planned the first time?

quote:

Counties have been directed to work with canvass boards to test tabulation equipment. After the tests, counties will recount all ballots for the 3rd district race the same way they were counted during the election. Every county will be using the tabulators, according to Griswold’s office, except for San Juan County. Officials there will be manually recounting the ballots.

quote:

“This is an automatic recount written into Colorado statue. Colorado elections are rock solid and if historical precedent of recounts in the state holds, it is unlikely to change more than a handful of votes,” he explained in a recent statement.

If you recount faulty or falsified ballots, the recount won’t matter.

Recounts are automatically done without questions or regard to winner.

Her oponent conceded.

Colorado law still requires a mandatory recount in such a close race.

Why are people struggling with this painfully simple concept?

Is anyone surprised they need another go at getting rid of her?

I don't think people are struggling with the law. They are struggling with the new ballots for Democrats that will be found.

Good points, though I don't suppose theoretically anything would keep him from un-conceding?

IIRC- Gore initially conceded to Bush and then called him back to un-concede when the chads began to hang a little bit more.

Because not everyone on this board is as painfully simple as you I would imagine.

Why?

Do tabulators get more accurate once they're warmed up?

And we should have confidence in our elections. Sure.

She should tell them to FO.

I don't think anybody is struggling with the concept. Some are questioning the logic - why would a second count be different than the first count if vote counting is as accurate as we're often told it is.

A “concession” in a US election has no substantive purpose. It is just a polite gesture.

If that in fact happens, if she falls behind in the final recount, it's because to voters in her district rightly determined she's too radical, too extreme for the Colorado Third.

We need less hostility, less "angertainment" in our present political discourse.

I go to the bank and cash a check, and I count my money after the clerk counts my money.

Why wouldn’t the same principle apply to an election? People make honest mistakes, sometimes it helps one candidate over another.

There’s nothing wrong with a recount.

I'm sorta there with you. My post was more about the inconsistencies in what we're often told by so-called experts and the politicians that cite them.

That said, I'm interested in something - what's an example of an honest mistake that favors one candidate over another.

Translation: you need to agree with the way I think, or else.

We've already seen what you people's idea of "compromise" is. frick straight off.
