Don't laugh about polls. Back in 1986 judges in Alabama used one as evidence to declare one candidate the victor over another, but the voters got the last laugh. LINK
Now no one in Alabama registered by party. How did they determine that Graddick got so many GOP votes? Using a poll which showed Baxley ahead polling likely Democrat voters, This wasn't mentioned in the story.
quote:
A three-judge federal court panel ruled that Graddick, then state attorney general, had violated the Voting Rights Act by trying to stop enforcement of the Democrats' rule against Republicans voting in their primary.
The court gave the Democratic Party the option of holding another runoff or certifying Baxley as the nominee.
A Democratic Party committee chose the latter.

Go ahead. Vote for her. Jeff Landry will end up giving her a forever job in higher ed so he can run for the senate seat after everyone else's money has been depleted.

If no one gets a majority do they have a runoff between the top two?
Yes. Just like winning the overall election, a candidate must get 50% +1 to advance out of the closed primary into the general election.

That’s what Fleming alleged was the plan back in January of last year. I’m not sure something like that makes much sense, but who the hell knows.

Polling should be against the law. Just go vote for who you want and not because a poll provides certain numbers. Do you want your rep legislating by polls?
Huh?

I love to answer them. I answer as close to 180 degrees from my actual choices/beliefs as possible.

If he wasn’t the worst campaigner ever, he’d already be a senator. His 2016 campaign was terrible, and so is this one.

Fleming is by far the best choice
So in typical LA fashion, he will come in 3rd.
