Depends where you live.

Nope, in La if someone is IN your house they are fair game to be shot any which way you can
eta: given the circumstances of the op. obviously you can shoot someone in the back if they are attacking someone else.

BS. What if that individual is entering a room with family members in it or attacking a family member? Inside your home?

A mob is a weapon, you can shoot through the door.

if someone is breaking your door down then yes, you can use deadly force in some jurisdictions but not all. Seriously, your question is one that criminal law professors like to put on exams.
The fact that you can only do this in some jurisdictions is perhaps the clearest endorsement of cultural revolution style tactics I have ever heard. The left has educated itself into imbilicity.

Why don't you go beat on his door asshat?

Didn't Uncle Joe "Grabby" Biden tell everyone to shoot through the door with a shotgun?
Anyone with a mob that is banging on the door to a private dwelling gets what they deserve.

In FL, we are standing our ground as soon as that foot or whatever goes through that door.

In Louisiana she'd be fine shooting through the door in that situation.
Other than that a nice pepper ball gun from an upper/side window would be fine to disperse those bitches.
We actually had a situation with my wife who homeschools where some random big guy came beating on the front door needing money for a Christmas present for his mom or some shite. He was loaded on something. I have a solid front door and he was beating on it. She called the cops.
He got there he told her she was within her rights to defend herself from an threat such as that by any means necessary. Especially the situation where she was alone with 3 kids and the guy was as big as myself. Even though he never breached the door.

I don't care about legality.
After seeing what these Nazi Brownskirt scumbags are attempting in Arizona and Florida, It won't bother me when some Patriot starts doing what's long overdue and putting these pieces of dog zhit down.

Many instructors don’t have a clue what they are talking about regarding laws. Please site a law that states what part of the body you are allowed and not allowed to shoot an armed intruder in your home. I’ll save you some time, there isn’t one.
The actual law supersedes what your uninformed CC instructor told your class so please quit citing what he/she said as law.

If you have protesters standing outside your door or on your property or in the street...here are some non-lethal things you can do to discourage them:
-Turn on your sprinkler system or set up some sprinklers that will shoot water in the area they are standing.
-Get out your garden hose and spray them with water
-Set up speakers or guitar/keyboard amplifiers and blast them with sounds, music or ear splitting frequencies.
-Put things in your yard that smell and set up fans to blow the smell into their direction (Dead fish, rotten meat, chemicals...)
-Get a couple of portable fire-pits that people put in their back yard and burn wood. Blow the smoke with fans into the crowd.
The basic premise is that if the police wont remove them from the public street or from your front yard, you have a right to your own property and can do legal things on it that will make their protest very unpleasant. If they destroy property than you can get the police involved. If they threaten you with physical harm on your own property you have a right to defend yourself.

In Minnesota, if you shoot a thief inside your house, you will be charged with murder
Posted on 11/9/18 at 7:30 am to LSUvegasbombed
Joe Biden said to let the shotgun ring out outside your door, so yes.
Posted on 11/9/18 at 8:00 am to LSUvegasbombed
If you do that in DC, or NY, you'd better have enough funds to pay high priced lawyers for the next 5 years. It could make you scratch your head and think, you should have let the buck shot go after they crossed the threshold. There is no pat answer, and no one will give you one. It is something to be settled in the courts. That is the advantage of not living in a liberal county/parish. In NOLA, you would be fricked!
