According to a report by The Times, the head of the supermarket giant Tesco, John Allan, has said that many of those who visit his stores are now seriously struggling to make ends meet.

“I was in some stores on Friday and I was hearing for the first time for many years of customers saying to checkout staff ‘Stop when you get to £40, I don’t want to spend a penny over that’,” the publication reports the grocery tsar as saying.

“I think that many of them are struggling to both be able to heat their homes and to feed their families,” he continued. “And I think we’re seeing, you know, real food poverty for the first time in a generation.”

We are going to be there soon.

Someone who can't add up the items they put in their cart to $40 as they put them in there probably doesn't have much hope to afford much even in an economic boom.

Lol, CNN would lead with this story every hour.

If Trump were in office.

With Biden, instead we get more January 6 information.

And there it is. There will be calls for price controls on groceries which will cause more shortages because producers will stop making the things that they cant profit on because they have no idea what their real costs are with inflation.....which will bring about the nationalization of certain industries to keep up for the greater good.....and .....well, we all know the rest.

Leftist economic policies leading to terrible economies will now result in calls for those who implemented those same policies to take more control and implement more of their policies to save us.

We're already there. People see the white-capping water (baby formula shortage) and think it's just a passing thing, not realizing that's just water washing over the tip of a big-arse iceberg.

Don't worry, food stamps will be increased so while you're struggling to afford basic food someone who doesn't work will still be able to eat steak and shrimp on the regular

People better learn, if they don’t already know, how to do the following: hunt, fish, garden.

I was fortunate enough to put 4 deer in the freezer this past season. No lie, for the past month, I’ve eaten deer meat every day and will continue to do so until I’m out or October 1 rolls around.

Understandably not everyone can hunt or fish, but it would help to make friends with someone who does and work out a deal with them.

This world is getting crazier by the day and we better learn to be more self-sufficient.

Unfortunately many are, and more will follow. And it’s going to hit your average black and brown person before it hits your average white person.

There is zero acknowledgment from this administration that what it’s doing is causing this. One of Biden’s top economic advisors was on the news yesterday, and he was spouting off nonsense about how strong the economy is, and how much “progress” we’ve made. Progress towards what exactly?

I was dumbfounded. We are in for a world of pain, I’m afraid.
