How long before Trump throws his hand picked Powell replacement under the bus when the fed raises rates within the next month or two?

U.S. wholesale prices rose in August, according to a report Thursday that could play a key role in the Federal Reserve’s upcoming interest rate decision.
The producer price index, a measure of final-demand costs for goods and services, increased a seasonally adjusted 0.4% for the month, in line with the Dow Jones consensus, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Thursday.
On an annual basis, that put PPI at 5.4%, still well above the Fed’s 2% inflation target and 0.1 percentage point higher than expected. PPI rose 0.1% in July, a slight upward revision from the original estimate of no change.

Now imagine how bad it will be if Trump gives everyone an insane inflation-causing $5K

Will they raise?
Or hold steady?
And what will they do a year from now? That’s the big question.

Republicans have virtually no shot to hold the house. So its not going to happen. He probably wouldn't do it even if they did hold the house and senate, pissing off everyone more.
We're more likely to see some type of vengeance attempt to levy extra taxes against blue states after the mid term.

Not excusing the stupidity of this, but in a slight defense... "supposedly" that is money already allocated somewhere they are going to divert.
Whether thats true or not, who knows.

Luckily we all know he's lying about that, too.

And the second problem government teet programs always grow and get more expensive with time. "It's only a 1% tax on a few rich people" was how we were sold Social Security. Now it's voer 1/2 of our government's spending.

I've lost track of all the checks Trump is going to send out. First it was DOGE checks, then Tariff checks, now its $5k checks for voting?

Oh I agree, wish we'd burn a shite ton more down to the ground... Trump needs to go back to early 2025 and the de-reg and govt cutting.

Pre covid spending levels would be a huge first step. He won't do it though because at heart he is a New York City Democrat.

A year from now doesnt look great with all the impeachment hearing the Dems will have lined up by then. This war lost Trumps second term. but hey Iran wont have a nuclear weapon for a while that they werent ever going to use anyway.

Who fricking cares about impeachment hearings? They don't have the 2/3 to remove him and they aren't going to pass anything Trump wants anyway.

Still to be seen, but if the Repubs lose in November, this is 100% the cause.
