The tax on remittances should be used to pay for at least some of the cost of border control.

The wall construction should not cost 46 billion
That's his issue here and he has a point. I don't think it necessarily needs to go down to 4.6 but it doesn't need to be 46

Just to play devil’s advocate here, if illegal immigration from the southern border has slowed from a flood to a mere trickle under Trump (as has been reported many times) maybe a $46B wall isn’t necessary.

ICE is getting $45 billion to build detention facilities to temporarily house illegals who are being deported.
That is fricking crazy.
1. There are cheaper options.
2. These facilities wont be built for at least 18-36 months.
How about we invest a few billion in hiring new ICE agents, upgrading border technology with strategic physical barriers, and getting creative with fast tracking deportations so they don’t get put up at Club Fed on the taxpayers dime for years. That $80-$90 billion saved could be spent on something else or not at all.
Wasn’t this board melting like a bunch of retards all May over the Big Beautiful Bill? The only actual spending INCREASE in it was this $100 billion for border security.
