It’s pretty funny. You gus want a check on co-equal check on judiciary power, but get al upset when the executive branch gets the same co-equal treatment. There’s a word for what yall want

Rand is against border security.
Rand is against the border wall.
Rand is against deportations.
Rand is against using tariffs to negotiate fair trade.
Rand is against MAGA.

Seems like Rand is aligned with Democrats on every issue that Trump ran on.

They don't care. I've tried to make the point to be careful what you wish for a million times the past few months because it won't feel so nice when a Dem tries the same things. Their attitude is a Dem is going to do whatever they want with no check, so it's time to go full throttle while you can.

Rand's disagreement on this issue is healthy.

Trump supports pathways for those who entered illegally also. At least he did in 2018.

Rand Paul is for Rand Paul. He loves the attention just like McCain did.

Rand is correct. Tariffs are taxes, and Congress is the one with that power in the Constitution.

Tariffs are intended to regulate foreign trade and Congress has passed laws giving that ability to levy tariffs to the president.

This administration is desperate to keep Americans from finding out that they, and not foreign countries, are actually paying the tariffs:

It pains me to say it but Rand needs to be primaried. He is from a deep red state, if he wants to play libertarian he can do what Justin Amash did and move to a purple district to run

No, Trump was trying to compromise with the GOP to get money to build the wall. I assume that most of your crew hated the wall too and used the argument that there are more effective ways and use of the money.

By offering a pathway to citizenship for illegals. Period. It is still amnesty.

Are you old enough to remember what happened to Reagan in the mid 80's. Reagan granted amnesty in mid 80s in return for spending cuts. The amnesty happened, the spending cuts didn't.

To get a wall to stop illegal immigration.. PERIOD.

Paul wants it regardless. Again, cosponsored bills and did interviews about it.

Rand is an open border (as he stated) globalist.

I'm all for transparency as long as it's complete transparency. If companies want to list the tariff cost, tell them to list the US manufacturing jobs lost over the last 30 years. List the differences in environmental and other regulatory costs faced by Chinese manufacturers vs US manufacturers. List the Chinese industries subsidized by the CCP, and theft of intellectual property by China. List all of the products that we need, like medications, but no longer make in this country and are completely dependent on foreigners to provide.

Go ahead and explain how much "free trade" with China has damaged this country. Explain that a few days of China and others dumping treasury bonds (bonds they bought using proceeds from their US trade surplus) has US "news media" screaming for Trump to "cave" in to China's demands. If Americans still feel like tariffs are too painful, ask them which CCP official they'd like to see appointed as Chairman of the Peoples Republic of America in 2036.

wdhalgren.....Trump supporters like you are the most interesting to me.

Even though the US is currently #2 in manufacturing, you want us back at #1. Trump promised to bring back manufacturing to make this happen: Promise

Now, we all know that this process will be painful. It will get ugly. I personally don't think it is worth it, but you do.

Since you do, Trump negotiating all of these 'great trade deals' has to be infuritating to you. Every trade deal we negotiate KEEP MANFACTURING OVERSEAS. IT PUTS OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AT RISK. IT BREAKS TRUMP'S PROMISE AND GOES AGAINST EVERYTHING YOU POSTED.

I have yet to hear a Trump voter reconcile this. I eagerly await your response.
