I agree. In areas where large numbers will be apprehended and logistics require it, use military to transfer to whatever holding camp/facility is being used.
shite, there 86,000 newly hired IRS agents that could be trained. Make teams, place an experienced federal Marshal with a couple of the newbies, wind em up and let em go. Most will go peacefully. Use more force when going after the criminals or Venezuelan gangs.

Very few criminals will self deport.
I use the term that they were criminals in their home country. They are all criminals by being here illegally. Dried up freebies and no jobs is the answer to self-deporting.

If you are arguing against Rand Paul, there is a very good chance you are wrong.

If I disagree with Rand, or Thomas Massie, I do some research and generally come around to their way of thinking. Not always, but it's very rare that I disagree with them after looking into the issue.

Rand has got his principles mixed up in this. The military's #1 job is to protect americans from foreign enemies. This is absolutely a reasonable utilization of the military to protect and enforce our borders.

THAT is image/perception that is indeed needed in this country. We are going to protect Americans with full force.

So we send our military to wreck cities in other countries but we wont use them to protect our borders.

I agree.

Rand Paul is not president.

And just like his old man, he never will be.

I had this idea as well. They could be transferred to ICE.

The federal government and the military should protect US citizens. I guess we are all wrong for thinking that should happen on US soil and not just on foreign soil.

Or maybe Paul is in the wrong here.

Who the frick has said this is going to happen?

They are leaving, lots of ways to do it.

This is why senators, even good ones, are basically worthless.

There is already enough federal law enforcement for this, where cities are uncooperative. There is arguable way more federal law enforcement than we need. Put them to work doing this. Leave the military out of it. It's counter-productive.

Honestly not seeing the difference here.

Apples and cowboy boots. Using our military for mass deportations does not mean putting the Army into our cities.

However, this was an acute & chronic illegal invasion by millions of foreigners. The military can certainly defend our citizens & communities by rounding up the millions of foreign invaders.

I was in agreement with Rand but this is an invasion of able-bodied fighting age men. Our country has never had to defend itself inside out borders, until now. Interesting times....

That's not what he's saying at all. They can certainly protect the borders. He's saying they don't need to be in cities rounding up people.

We have plenty of law enforcement for that.

Department of Justice
This agency includes the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Park Police, and U.S. Secret Service.
Other agencies
These include the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Federal law enforcement agencies are responsible for enforcing federal law. Their duties include police response, criminal investigation, inspections, security and protection, court operations, and corrections

Why do we need the military to be involved in this?

You don't see the difference in domestic law enforcement agencies and the military?

If that is the case, I can't help you.

I certainly don't want to pay for them to fly home commercially. Stick them on a C-5 and let our military fly them to their country, along with a compliment of certified badasses and hardware, in case their country doesn't want to take them.
