Rand is strong on spending. Foreign policy, not so much. He should focus on his strengths.

Massie and Paul can hold hands and skip around the Capitol spouting nonsense, nobody that matters cares, they're both Pariah's

How long has Rand been a United States Senator? Looks like he's had a lot of time to spearheead an effort to do something about this. Republicans have had the majority a few times.

Remember when McCarthy was the SOTH? Remember when that crying alcoholic was SOTH?

I'm with him on this, but Rand seems to have what's known as selective outrage. A problem that has persisted for decades, but he only wants to bash President Trump?

His principal is admirable, but isn’t realistically a viable political option for getting stuff done.

Him & Massie would lose the war over their principles. But people love them for their principles

Rand did 99% of the work exposing Dr. Fauci as a crook. He then wrote a book proving Fauci was a crook. It was an excellent read.

From the OP.

Senate wants another $5.6 BILLION for bringing in foreigners and giving them welfare.

If it is new funding those funds would have to be in a bill. Is that wrong?

Rand is spot on. And MAGA being co-opted and hollowed out by neocon hardliners still feels like a bad dream.

Its 100% happening, and dragging a lot of former Republicans with them.

Yes I do.

And how would this be "grinding the government to a halt"?

I like Rand, but how is he just not another Trey Gowdy, Massie, Hawley type who talks a good game but ultimately does nothing meaningful?

What can he do beyond speak out and vote?

Money won’t solve this. The only way to fight it is by cutting funding

I made Rand Paul look silly. I posted about this here before Rand.

Bonus points for me not being a useless Libertarian.

I just feel like too many legislators talk this way but stop short of working together to wield power and influence.

Trump is more interested in cutting deals than ideology. It seems like Rand could have a real impact.
