Quite frankly, you are wrong.

Rakim Mayer is a thug with a rap sheet and the means to flee prosecution. Sweden acted reasonably when denying pretrial release. The identity of the occupant of the WH is not remotely relevant to any of those issues.

Because this part really bothers me. Stockholm used to be a really great place to wander around.

Oh, Sweden wants to be taken over, just not by the likes of an American minority. They prefer to protect Terrorists instead.

“ I am so glad”...

You will be when our GEOTUS peels off another chunk of the black vote and wins four states he lost in 2016 . Oh and when his momentum brings the House back to Republican control. And of course the 2 more Conservative judges on the Supreme Court. I am glad you are glad . America is glad you are glad. Stay glad.

I usually don’t care for govt involvement but in this case I’ll make an exception. The “Swedes” were harassing Rocky and his crew. They continually asked them to go elsewhere and that they didn’t want to fight them. The “victims” instigate them, break their own headphones—then blame it on Rocky and his crew—then continue to harass them after continually being asked to stop.

This has always been (and should always be) seen as a proper function of our State Department, when free citizens of our country are detained abroad in circumstances that might be deemed suspect.

I'm not sure what the OP is even trying to suggest otherwise.

EXACTLY

The government's position here is basically, "they didn't quite frick with you enough" and, "they weren't fricking with you directly so you can't help"

frick Sweden, AND Hank for trying to argue that's a remotely acceptable standard.

For Christ’s sake, Shorty. That seems to be the law in Sweden. If this thug could not comply with Swedish law, he should have stayed the Hell out of Sweden.

Your position boils down to “We’re Americans and should not be subject to the laws of the countries we CHOOSE to visit.”

yes I am aware. A very left-wing government has a f***** up version of what is considered acceptable that a person has to put the f****** with when someone is screwing with him.

as for my position being we are Americans we should be able to do what we want that's just silly. That doesn't mean that the American government should just sit back when its citizens are being subjected too absurd legal standards set by absurd countries.

The blunt reality is that much of Europe it's starting to become the thing we had a cold war against

In any case. It's one thing to violate another country's law but I'm pretty sure that nobody should even have to try to figure out that they aren't allowed to defend themselves from physical attack. I shouldn't have to become a legal scholar to visit your country and avoid finding myself in such an absurd circumstance
