"I know the skin color of the person who kidnapped your baby, but I can't reveal it to the police for obvious reasons".

Wait until I get a receipt that says old bald guy. That restaurant is going to pay dearly for describing me so accurately.

Someone just handed my a shrimp sandwich that I did not order.

Delicious. Was it yours?

My 13yo blonde daughter loves the pumpkin spice, and (yes) she often appears at Starbucks in Uggs.

Lol. I mean, it's a stereotype for a reason. Before we bought our house up here, our apartment was next to a Starbucks. I've told the wife a few times that these New Jersey white women were going to lure her into the Pumpkin Spice Cult.

They didn't call them black. They called them balck.

Not racist.

"It is with a humble heart I come to you asking for grace and forgiveness on behalf of myself, my family and all my staff due to an employee who not only used poor judgment when identifying a customer for our internal ordering system, but created pain and hurt feelings," wrote owner Michael Fontenot on Facebook. "I have a zero tolerance policy regarding any discriminatory behavior, and while I believe the sincere remorse expressed to me by the server, the action was still a violation of those expectations and will be disciplined, up to and including termination," added Fontenot. "Further, this experience has shown a need to re-engage my staff in trainings and effective immediately, staff will only use customer names in the system, which is already a universal standard."

What the hell was discriminatory?

What an overreaction.

Is BALCK, short hand for BALL SACK? If so, we have entered an entirely new area of faux outrage.

OR could it be Black arse Lickers? Wow. Never going to that place again....lol

This shite is so ridiculous. Is black not the color of their skin? Is it not the best adjective to lead off with when trying to describe said family? Wtf is wrong with people.

I get it and I don't really blame the guy I guess. It's like watching someone be blackmailed and everyone else just going along with it.

I feel very bad for that waitress. It was probably busy as frick in there. She was probably running around like a headless chicken trying to get everyone's order, and take care of people. So she puts a simple, harmless, non-racist description on their order so she could easily locate them and get them their food.

...and now she is getting fired, ostracized, and humiliated for it. During a time when the gov't is/has been actively making it hard for people to work no less.

Honestly I'd fire that server for behind dumb.

But yes, on one hand we are being told to not be color blind. Still, you could just say family by the window and leave it at that.

Or number your fricking tables, or have them get a number after ordering.

Some style guides say "yes" and others say "no."

Practically, it is a quick and easy way to distinguish whether one is referencing a crayon or a person, but I have trouble getting too excited about the issue, either way.
