So you're ok with making it easier for people to kill one another?

Yes I'm ok with the right to keep and bear arms.

Why should we not make that a harder thing to do?

Because humans are inventive.

You have to take away the desire to commit violence, not just the means to do it.

Guns kill people

The number of guns that have killed someone throughout the entirety of human history is exactly zero.

Cars weren't designed for killing, though.

Just leave the big muff alone. He is trying to get people to argue a certain way. Or his wife brow beat him and he is trying to take it out on someone else.

The sooner you accept this, the sooner you will stop trying to pick fights-

A free society allows for assholes. This includes people that want to kill others, as well as dolts like the bigmuffalata.

Explain why you think this is important.

Taking away the desire of humans to commit violence will never happen. That's like teaching teenagers abstinence - they're still going to frick.

All murders are homicides but not all homicides are murders.

Of the 34 or 35K gun deaths in the USA, 18 or 19K are suicides, 2K are accidents, another thousand, or a bit fewer, are justified shootings by police or others. That's about 21 to 23K non murders, or 11 to 14K murders. Varies by year.

By the same logic as guns don't kill, how about abortions don't kill.

Restaurants have many forks. Those forks make their patrons fat.

Another person who refuses to grasp the concept.

No, the people aren't less dead but that is beside the point.

Cars aren't designed to kill people. Arguing otherwise makes you look like an idiot. Firearms are designed to kill and that's the entire point. Make them see that there's nothing wrong with killing so long as it is justified and legal. How can they argue against firearms use for self defense?

New York and Seattle both imposed common sense soft drink control.

Murder is illegal. No one is even disputing that. It is a stand alone crime. Why should the fact that some people use a firearm to murder someone negate my right to own a firearm to legally kill someone?

And wouldn't it stand to reason that there's less justifiable homicide than Murder? Murderers go out looking to murder. People who use firearms for defensive purposes do not. The firearm owner only needs to use his weapon when attacked.
