Question for Massie folks: is indicting someone based on fake evidence “small govt”?

Thomas Massie went on Tucker and said he wanted “somebody, anybody” to be charged with Epstein related sex crimes. He specifically mentioned Leon Black.

However, one small problem:

quote:

Massie tells Tucker that the only way the Trump Administration can "redeem" itself is not by releasing more Epstein Files, but by indicting "somebody" -- anybody -- for unspecified pedo crimes.

He suggests Leon Black should be charged. Tucker asks on what basis. Massie says victims have alleged sexual abuse by Black.

Those allegations against Black all derive from spurious extortionate civil litigation that has either been DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE, or so thoroughly discredited that a judge recently ruled (April 23, 2026) that the evidence was literally FABRICATED.

quote:

Massie is demanding the Trump Administration indict Leon Black on the basis of evidence that has been JUDICIALLY DETERMINED to have been OUTRIGHT FABRICATED! That would be the only way for the Trump Administration to "redeem" itself, according to Massie!

Theyre like liberals as long as they SAY and FEEL they are principled then it doesn't matter what they do.

I’ll play devil’s advocate here and say that maybe the rulings were based on only certain Epstein bro files being released?

For the record I’m not defending Massie.

Releasing all the grand jury notes on Epstein really screwed any hope of prosecuting anything out of that.

Grand jury notes include lots of unsubstantiated information. Like that FBI tip line that anyone could call into and leave a message, which would then be a part of the "Epstein files".

I could call and say AOC raped my deceased grandmother and voila! AOC is now "named" in the "epstein files".

Without hard evidence and actual victims to step forward, there is no chance of any type of arrest or prosecution.

Massie was trying to ride that Epstein populist wave even though it was hinted pretty clearly that there wasn’t a helluva lot that could be done. That wave got him a lot of photo ops but eventually crashed on his arse and drug his face in the sand.

Do you really want a sincere answer, or is that a rhetorical question?

If so, it's neither big nor small government, it's spurious prosecution.

It's more corruption than big or small government.

I've been defending Massie a lot today, but from what you posted, this doesn't sound like small government instance to me.

Leon Black? He lived with Larry David, so it tracks.

Appreciate the honest response.

I wonder if the usual cast of Massie supporters can do the same?
