After reading the thread about the cost to his proposed "plans" why are people supporting him? Is it because of all the additional free schitt liberals always promise without any thought out plan to pay for it?

I saw over the weekend one of my wife's friends attended a Bernie rally in Austin. I knew she is a liberal and paying off student debt because of her choice of expensive school that she couldn't afford. I think I'm going to ask her why she supports Bernie next time i see her.

Because the majority of those supporting him do not understand how "free" shite is paid for in the end and who does the paying...

Those that follow Bernie utilize emotion in their decision making process, not logic and reasoning.

doing a quick qoogle search it looks like he wants to raise minimum wage and free college for everybody. Great....how to pay for it? I guess an 18 year old whit no direction hearing this would vote for him without even blinking an eye. Im pretty sure he has no chance at the nomination again in 2020.

The question someone needs to ask Bernie is what his proposed tax rate would be at various income levels. But for some reason no one is asking that question

And even then your are still not taking into account all the hidden taxes. For example, if you raise taxes on a widget maker, the widget maker will just raise his price in order to keep his same profit margin he had before the tax had been levied. Most people don’t realize they are paying the widget maker tax, not the widget maker. It’s a hidden tax.

I explained this to my baby sitter yesterday and told her that from now on we will pay her according to Bernie Sanders future economy. I owed my baby sitter $225 for the week.

I counted out $225.00. As soon as she reached for it. I pulled back half and said, From here on out why don't we play like I am Bernie Sanders! And she didn't know what the heck to think.

SHE COULDN'T GET OVER THIS POINT! and I think it really hit home.

Bernie wants to tax everyone 50% over $30,000.00 She said she would never make over $30,000.00. However, when I showed her that his $15.00 minimum wage times 40 hours per week translates into $31,200.00 All of a sudden we went back to the %50.00 I took out of her pay check as an example is a real thing.

She did the numbers like six times and I said, "you feel like you have been punked yet"

I gave my Boy Scout Troop a quick lesson in economics when the topic of "free health care" was bought up. I asked on of the Scouts that was reading a paperback to let me borrow it. I asked them to look at the pre-stamped pricing:

US Price: 7.99
Canada Price: 10:99

I explained to them to add that same percentage to everything they and their parents purchase everyday and them seeing the example in print made a heck of an impression.

Bernis is the product of telling everyone they are all equal and giving out trophies to them even when they lose/fail

They don't care because they are extremely young and haven't earned any money yet. They just want their debts cleared because they don't want to work for it.

Instead of free college for everyone, wouldn't it be much, much cheaper for the US govt to simply create on online college. Anyone can go to the school for free. They create programs that simply have multiple choice exams that can instantly be graded by computer so no teachers are needed. A lot of schools have free courses on sites like Coursera, so they can simply combine these into a program. After the initial cost of setting it up, they just pay a few professors to update materials and choose new, already designed courses every few years.

Once students complete so many classes in such a manner, they get a degree from The University of the United States Government. Boom, free college that doesn't cost billions of dollars. If people can't pay for their own, better college, then they can get a free degree this way. Beggars can't be choosers, unless they live in the US apparently.

There is always a better way than what the dems are proposing. If you want to give kids free lunches at school, then make them clean the school for an hour after school each day. It teaches them responsibility plus it encourages them to work hard and provide for their own future children so they won't have to stay late after school. There should always be some catch to welfare. If you want free stuff, then you should have to spend some time cleaning up the community at a minimum.

If you want free daycare, then let the parents getting free daycare spend a day or 2 a month watching over the kids. No need to give them money or have the government pay for babysitters. There should be enough parents that made poor decisions to rotate watching over the kids of other bad parents.

Instead of just giving people free money for SNAP, make them spend time each month cooking meals and delivering to other SNAP families. Buying the cooking supplies and making them at a central location will be much cheaper than giving them all money to buy their own. Plus, it helps eliminate the corruption since they can't sell benefits. If you are too pathetic to support yourself and your family, then you have to at least spend some time cooking and delivering meals. Again, there are enough mooches that they would only have to spend time once a month to do this. If they can't even manage to do that little amount of work, then they should be allowed to starve.

If people can't find the time to spend even 1-2 hours a month to "earn" their free shite, then they should be cut off.

Most people got tax cuts. And how is taking less of someone's money a "giveaway"?

Its truly amazing how ignorant Liberals have continually spewed the same played out BS ANYTIME a taxcut is given to any Americans. For 50+ years Libs claim every single damn tax cut is only for the EVIL & GREEDY RICH People or Corporations!

Considering that the so called "RICH People or Corps" are the ones paying 75%-90% (see below) of the Taxes in America could you please explain how you can go about reducing the TAX BURDEN any significant amount with out including those that actually pay the damn taxes?

The % above Depends on the Liberal & their definition of "RICH" which is intentionally a moving target to allow said Lib to manipulate the data to benefit whatever their claim is from 1 day to the next. "RICH" to a Lib can be anything from $1 Million plus all the down to $150-$200k.

Hey pops , just come out and admit you were a failure in your earlier years and it's left you in a financial bind.

Admit it and I will donate to Bernie.

I want you to educate the young Liberals on what not to do when you are young.
