Question about conspiracy theories

Honest question... why do people peddle these? I am not talking about regular folks just trying to connect dots and doing research... but the guys that come out and say they definitively know something and have direct evidence or talked to their specops buddy but never prove it. I understand if it is Russia or China behind it trying to create division... but we see regular people in this country promoting this stuff. What is the end goal?

Who the hell knows. Could just be really funny to some to make shite up and watch people believe it. Then there's all types of mental illnesses.

I'm talking specifically about the Simon Parkes of the world, that come out and say they talked to their MI6 buddy that we are going to bomb the 3 rivers gorge or Lin Wood with a video of Hilary mutilating a child. They have always been out there but now we have mass communication technology in the hands of ordinary people that makes it easy for anyone to weaponize them.

Conspiracy theories aren't new and usually used by those who aren't in power to get a shift of control. My senior seminar in college was Conspiracy Theories, ran by a liberal communications/philosophy professor.

"Conspiracy theory" is a derogatory term.
Some "conspiracy theories" are actually bullshite, and deserve criticism.
Some "conspiracy theories" are totally factual, and need to be taken seriously.
Some "conspiracy theories" are partially right and partially wrong.
The only thing that matters is what really is the truth. Don't be swayed just because something is called a "conspiracy theory". Seek the truth. Period.
Some "conspiracy theories" are actually bullshite, and deserve criticism.

Well, there are conspiracy theories and there are just conspiracies.
The election theft was a conspiracy. It happened. It is clear it happened. Only the co-conspirators are saying it didn't.

Look up where the term "conspiracy theory" was first conjured up and who promoted it. Second MKULTRA was a conspiracy theory...pretty fricking real, UFOs didnt exist, ect. The fact that youre to closed minded so you only accept what you are feed is actually pretty sad to us "Conspiracy theorist." Now stfu and go back to youre media driven world.

Fair enough. I guess I am speaking to "fake" conspiracy theories where someone claims something very specific that will be revealed soon and then not. Different than people theorizing about JFK or chem trails.
