‘QAnon Shaman’ sues for $40 Trillion, declares himself ‘the legitimate leader of the United States’


Jacob Chansley, the Arizona patriot most Americans remember for his horned and fur-clad appearance at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, is back in the headlines — and he’s not holding back. Chansley has filed a $40 trillion lawsuit in Maricopa County Superior Court, naming an eclectic cast of global heavyweights — including President Donald Trump, the federal government, and several elite institutions — as defendants. Yes, that Donald Trump, whom he paradoxically names in a complaint that also declares he himself is the legitimate leader of the United States.

In his pro se (self-filed) 26-page legal filing — which resembles a stream-of-consciousness political manifesto more than a standard court document — Chansley alleges that a loosely connected global network of power brokers has systematically trampled his constitutional rights. He accuses them of violating his First, Second, and Fourth Amendment protections.
