If tweet fails to load, click here. He’s running out of options. He’ll either have to admit the war in Ukraine is lost or take drastic measures to win it or at least salvage something out of it.

He’s the last person I’d want backed into a corner.

You could make a similar argument about this country... except we just print money and act like it's not a problem.

they have been talking that crap since the beginning. Russia will last longer then Ukraine, IMO.

Forgive me for being skeptical but I’ve read “backed into a corner” about Putin for the last 4 years

China now has a weakened Russia. Our CIA Director understands how important a weak Russia is to China. Very interesting times, indeed.

How will the Little Kim handle not getting paid for sending his soldiers to fight?

We are 4.5 years in and I have no idea who to believe about what is happening there.

Longer than that. Give it a day or two and we’ll get a conflicting report saying Russia is spending more than ever

It's not really comparable, especially since Putin devolved Russia's economy during the Obama admin specifically to have major spending reserves and decreased reliance on the international economy in order to become "sanction proof".
Russia running out of money, if this story is true, is a really big deal for Russia. Due to their economic devolution and the international pariah status, they don't have anywhere to pivot. The US has a ton of ways we can pivot with our spending.

Putin is getting backed into a corner
So forgive me if I’m skeptical of the media saying he’s backed into a corner

It sucks watching these so-called "open source intelligence" accounts become compromised and push the same obvious bullshite narratives being peddled by The Wall Street Journal.

One of the major points of this war was to slowly bleed Russia dry. Hopefully this is true

So we don’t believe the report that Russia is broke?

Doesn’t really make sense.
Putin can nationalize assets. If that happens, the oligarchs could either flee and forfeit those assets to the US, or they can stay and pretend to sacrifice for the common good.

China and Russia fought a war in the late 1960's over lands that Russia had taken from them.

Being the invaded country, Ukraine has a vested interest to continue fighting; Russia, not so much.
