Pre Trump Russia took over fricking Crimea and shot down a loaded passenger plane and the US did nothing.

Some people think we’re gonna do something because someone may or may not have roofied this politician’s tea in Russia?

Seems like an appropriate response.

Dangerous job being an opposition leader in Russia.

Not much easier in the United States these days. Democrats lie, impeach, falsify evidence and yet when they get caught they only receive 6 month sentences.

You're giving too much credit. First they murder the ones who know where the bodies are buried, (Epstein and many others) or murder the ones blowing the whistle, (Rich and many others) and when that fails, they start going after prosecutors and judges, which has been in the news very recently. Socialist democrats make the mafia look like the fricking Boy Scouts, but we are supposed to have a response when Putin offs some fricking reporter.

More like CIA doing work trying to frame up Putin again as a bad guy.

For those who think Edward Snowden is a Russian stooge - see his twitter comment on this.

Edward Snowden
@Snowden
Russia's most famous opposition leader,
@Navalny
, has been rushed to the hospital, with reports that poison is suspected. If confirmed, it is a crime against the whole of Russia. There can be no democracy without dissent.

This is a massive amount of evidence showing the CIA has been actively trying to take Putin down via any means necessary. Too many americans think the media lies about everything but Putin/Russia. Makes no sense.

Well it's less messy than suicide by two rounds to the back of the head.

And do you know why the U.S. did nothing at that time?
The reason is simple. They (U.S. state department, CIA, operation) fomented all the crap going on in Ukraine at that time and could do nothing because once they lost Crimea, it would have been a complete disaster to watch Russia take over all of Ukraine. Imagine that scenario for Obozo and his ilk?
That's why Yakonovich or whatever the hell her name is - Obozo's ambassador to Ukraine at that time - penned a WAPO editorial in 2015 saying the U.S. should NOT supply Ukraine with arms due to it potentially leading to outright military conflict with Russia.

We've been cutting Russia's throat with sanctions on things like the Nord Stream 2 while simultaneously trying to ramp up our LNG exports to wean Europe off Russian gas. Hell Merkel and Trump had a whole confrontation over Germany buying Russian gas.

And yeah, holding NATO member's feet to the fire over the 2% military spending requirements is absolutely a boon to Russia.

I'm sure we could symbolically expel some diplomats though, that'd teach em!

I remember a Russian expat in the UK, and critic of Putin, being on the receiving end of heavy metal poisoning years ago. The before and after pics were awesome. Like he aged decades in a week.

We should do nothing in response. The Russian people should start a revolution but this is not our battle.
