Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a temporary Easter ceasefire in Ukraine starting Saturday, citing humanitarian reasons, as Russia and Ukraine swapped hundreds of captured soldiers in the largest exchange since Moscow's full-scale invasion started over three years ago.

According to the Kremlin, the ceasefire will last from 6 p.m. Moscow time (1500 GMT) on Saturday to midnight (2100 GMT) following Easter Sunday.

“We assume that the Ukrainian side will follow our example.

I'm going to set the over/under for how many missiles/drones Russia attacks Ukraine with during the ceasefire at 50.

Give peace a chance. Isn’t that what the left use to say?

Of course you would use a Russian propaganda X post as your definitive source of information.

A source that doesn't know the difference in the English words "truth" and "truce."

And a truce is not the same thing as a ceasefire.

Native English speakers know the difference, Comrade Snitchkovsky...

Oh I don't know....how about not flirting with NATO bringing it right onto Russia's doorstep? Remember not an inch East? Conveniently forgot?

Maybe try that for starters...

The sides should talk out their differences.

Give peace a chance.

We need to stop Putin now. He’ll be in London before winter. And if he is you can bet he’ll attack the flow of free speech and allow hundreds of thousands of illiterate Russians in to cause havoc.

NATO countries have been bordering Russia for over 20 years (March, 2004) when Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania joined the alliance. Finland, who has a long border with Russia, joined NATO in 2023 in response to Russia invading Ukraine.

This NATO bullshite excuse by Russia is just propaganda on Putin's part.

And it's working because even patriots in this board have bought into and support Putin's unprovoked invasion of its neighboring country in 2022.

Tell these fools. Our biggest priority is stopping Putin. Democracy must ring in Ukraine.

Ukraine has refused to agree to a ceasefire for Easter, despite Russian President Putin's call for a truce starting at 6 PM tonight.

So, which is it, a ceasefire or a truce?

Edit: Why should Ukraine believe anything Putin says? Up until the day before Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022 Putin was proclaiming that Russia had no intention of attacking Ukraine and all those Russian troops and tanks close to Ukraine's eastern border were there merely on a training exercise.

In fact, just one week before the invasion Putin announced the training exercise had concluded and troops and their military equipment were being put on trains to return to their bases across Russia.

Yet, dumbasses on here continue to believe Putin can be trusted.
