Am I wrong in assuming Russia/Putin to be any ally of Iran? So why would Islamists attack Russia? I do realize there all different flavors of highly contentious Muslims/Islamists. Did the Iranian Mullahs sign off on this?

So what if they were Ukrainian. Russia invaded Ukraine with civilian casualties. What moral high ground does he have to stand upon and denounce this? It’s a freaking war.

So if Iraqis had pulled of terror attacks on U.S. Citizens after we invaded them you’d have been okay with that? It’s a fricking war, right?

Terrorists attack Iran too, they killed 84 people with a bomb in January.

Russia sided with Syria against ISIS. So assuming ISIS was really behind the attack and not some false flag, I can see why ISIS hates Russia.

He's not going to nuke anything, but they are about to begin an aerial bombing campaign with a brand new bomb they just spun up for production last month.
Basically, Putin said the kid gloves handling of the Ukraine are coming off. Before they were very plodding and did not want to totally destroy the infrastructure because they wanted to inhabit the area after the Ukrainian-forces were gone.
Now, it just feel like Russia said 'alright... Level it all.'
The US-backed Ukraine strategy will also now shift to Terrorist/insurgency attacks versus straight up force vs force in a traditional war, because Ukraine is clearly done in that form of war.
You will also likely start to see terrorist attacks all over the west to 'spur' more nations to pull a France and declare open war against Russia.
This is about to get very nasty and insane, but Russia isn't stupid enough to fall for a USIC facade op.

None of that is going to happen.
The Russian Air Force is not going to fly over Ukraine, and Ukraine isn't going to shift to terrorist/insurgent attacks.
Russia has hit Ukraine with everything in its arsenal, short of nuclear weapons. The only thing Russia has that it can escalate is the size of its army, which is why all the rhetoric coming out of Russia on this attack will be used to justify a mobilization. Even with a large mobilization, Russia still has to train, equip, and deploy all those new soldiers, which won't happen overnight.

Since when do Islamists require logic? They kill other Muslims. Not being Muslim is more than sufficient for them.
